The receptionist I saw on my visit last week was clueless about putting my Power of Attorney for Health and Welfare [LPA] for my husbandwho has dementia on their system .I gave her the registered document from the Office of the Public Guardian , she just said '' What's it for ''I explained very clearly what it was for , then got the same 3 word reply as before , showed her a unique code from the gov website to put on their system , which would show the LPA had been registered , same answer again , , then I showed her more proof ,same answer 'What's it for ''. I need that LPA on the surgery system asap, as my husbands dementia has become worse , and he can not make any rational decisions . I even sent a recorded letter to complaints manager at the surgery no reply as yet .If neccessaryI will take this further if I do not hear from the surgery by next week .

Absolutely shocking service! On hold for 2 hours this morning, to be told to call back at 11am. Called at 11, on hold for another hour to be told no appointments. 5 year old child with an ear infection to be told by the receptionist βhe has picked the wrong day to be poorly as weβre closing now for training, nothing we can doβ absolute joke!

Spent over three hours on hold today and probably similar on Friday, constantly βbusyβ. When I finally got through today I was told incorrect info which then meant I had to call back to try and sort the issue, this is because the clinicians and receptionists donβt actually use common sense and look at records, receptionists send e consults to who they deem appropriate which just feels wrong as they have no medical training so how they are triaging who knows. Unsure why e consult online states β48 hrsβ when it has never been this for me and I have to call to chase them and make sure they are put on the system. Have e consults closed without being actioned, have drs make decisions without advising patients and having to call reception and pretty much impossible to get appointments. Receptionist seem to have really limited common sense, truly terrible communication from medical staff, cannot wait to leave this practice. Spoken to like staff suspicious for their mistakes, never an apology and absolutely no sympathy from GPs, Natasha the NP is truly the least empathetic person I have ever had the displeasure of speaking with. Truly awful practice.

My experience with this doctors surgery has been second to none. All the reception staff and medical staff have been apsaloutly amazing. I have a fair few health conditions and been struggling with various things. Dr Durkin and Emily the prescriber apsaloutely lovely so so compassionate towards my needs and these 2 staff have really gone out of their way to help me and I'm very greatful!! Thank you for always taking the time out to listen to me without feeling like I dont have a voice. And thank you for caring so much. The reception staff are also so compassionate, patient and understanding as well especially Avril always goes out of her way to help as much as she can and always takes the time out to listen. I would really highly recommend this surgery. Thank you

Nobody ever answers the phone on Reception. I called at 3pm and the recorded message said I was 5th in the queue. I waited 20mins and did not get through so hung up. I called straight back and was still 5th in the queue.. I have been into the surgery at 8am to make an appointment and no one ever answers the phone. The only way to get an appointment is to physically go there.. When you actually do get to speak to a human, you have to announce your personal symptoms to somebody who can't hear you because of the glass screen in the way so you have to publicly announce personal symptoms to the entire queue and waiting room despite the recorded AI generated robotic voice on the answering message assuring you that your details are treated in the strictest of confidence.

They never answer their phones. Been trying to get an appointment for over a week with quite a serious issue and every time I call and do get through to somebody they tell me. Iβm too late to call back again tomorrow... how is anyone meant to get an appointment if you donβt answer your phones until 9 and itβs too late??!

The staff could not be more professional, accommodating and helpful. It's a pity that some patients are disrespectful in their attitude towards the Bankfield staff - maybe this comes from frustration at the unavoidable NHS booking system. Personally, I think the service at Bankfield is SUPERB!!!

Rude and very unhelpful. Trying to get a prescription, for my father in law, he didn't tick the correct boxes, so no asthma medication at the pharmacy, this is important meds, lovely receptionist after a lot of convincing said she would inform us when it was ready, this didn't happen, a joyous experience. iinfo
