As soon as I entered I was greeted by a member of staff and told where to wait. I must have had interactions with 4 plus members of staff and each was so friendly & so helpful. It was Christmas time but everyone seemed happy to be at work which these days is rare to find!
I attended an eye test plus back of the eye test. Extremely efficient and informative throughout. All staff very professional, smart and friendly. Great advice on choosing new glasses. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend all the team at Pontefract.
I recently attended my appointment at Specsavers and was extremely impressed with the level of service, scoring them very highly. Despite the shop being extremely busy, every member of staff I interacted with was absolutely fantastic. The doctor was incredibly patient and thorough, making me feel comfortable and well-cared for throughout the examination. Similarly, the girl at the till was great—very polite and helpful, and I appreciated that there was no pressure to purchase anything. It's clear that the team works well together even under pressure. I highly recommend this Specsavers location!
I was given an appointment the very next day, which was really good. I didn't wait long at all to be seen. They were very thorough with the tests and extremely informative about my condition. I came away feeling reassured.

Over the new year I had some issues with my vision - long distance double vision. I went to the optician early January and the optometrist after the test recommended leaving it for a couple of weeks. I went back after the two weeks and my eyes were fairly close to where they were before, but still needed glasses. I need corrections and varifocals and the ladies spent a long time being able to get the glasses I needed. Happy with everything and thank you.
My daughter went here for some help over her contact lenses and the staff was so rude to her all of them had an attitude problem! Dont work with the public if you can't be bothered to help them! You really upset her and ruined her day!
Very helpful, kind and brilliant staff. They explained everything to me and helped me so much. I recommend them to everyone I know. They are so kind. I cannot fault them at all. 100% brilliant
I went in this place a week or so ago looking for some sun glasses. I was struggling to find exactly what I wanted and a member of staff was looking at me like I was something she'd stepped in instead of trying to help me. I don't know why because it isn't as if I look like a tramp. I dress quite smartly. I then went to another part of the shop to look at some more glasses and there was another member of staff talking to a customer but they were in the way of the glasses I wanted to look at and neither of them moved an inch even though it was obvious they were in my way. I did not feel much warmth in this place and felt happy to walk out without buying anything.
