   Really dissapointed with the service from this company used them in the past an they have been superb! Unfortunately this time after spending over a £1000 ive been let down on the delivery time i was given an wasted time for a joiner ive paid for to then collect the wood an several lengths are unuseable to bad quality i will not be using this company again in future an advise anyone to check over there timber before paying for it

   I placed the order for timber for a small DIY job. I paid the amount quoted and gave a delivery date 4 weeks in advance. The day for delivery arrived, but no sign of the timber. I rang and was informed that my order was no where to be found. They rang back 30 minutes later to say that my order was on its way. I lost a full day due to poor organization and not as much as a sorry, our mistake. The timber arrived, stamped kiln dried and over half the timbers were saturated. On average the wet 2m lengths were nearly 4Kg heavier than the dry timbers. The timber would eventually dry out, but the quality of the timber was appalling with splits, knots, warped timbers and damaged timbers. I emailed a complaint to the sales department and radio silence from them. I now know why they are the cheapest around. I will be shopping elsewhere for my next project.

   Good prices and good service. The reason for only giving four stars is that there was a mistake in my order, but mistakes happen, and it was the way it was resolved that impressed me. Thanks to the manager (Kev) for sorting this out, and getting the replacement order over to me this afternoon. Will definitely be using Wigan Timber again.
