I had keratin hair straightening at Bounce. The salon itself is pretty basic but the women that did my hair were lovely and did a great job. I only had the treatment yesterday so I can’t vouch for how long it will last.
If I could rate this a 0, I would. I had a Hollywood Wax booked on the 18th of August at 12:15pm. I got to the salon at 12:10pm and the shutters were down. I called the salon three times and I could hear the phone ringing from outside which told me that there was no one on the premises. I ended up going to the massage parlour next to the salon to ask whether they would be opening as I had an appointment. The very kind lady I spoke to spoke to the manager and let me know someone was on their way and should be with me shortly. No one arrived until 12:45pm, 30 minutes after my appointment was supposed to start. The person who came to do my wax was not the person I booked to do it so that was already a red flag. She then proceeded to continuously tell me to stretch my skin so she could wax me. The whole process from start to finish was horrible, the wax was so bad that I started bleeding. When she told me she was done, I had a look and there was still so much hair left. I told her to go over it again because I wasn't happy and she started going over it with tweezers but instead of pulling the hair out, she would pull at my skin. It got to the point where I was in so much pain so I told her to leave it because I was bleeding and in a lot of pain from the terrible wax. After I got dressed, I asked if I could speak to the manager because I wasn't happy with the service and I wanted a refund, and she said someone would be in contact with me but I insisted on speaking to the manager. She then told me that she was the manager, so I asked her if she could give me a refund and she said 'I lied, I'm not the manager'. She proceeded to shout and swear at me to get out of her shop otherwise she would call the police. I have been going to wax salons for over 10 years and this experience has caused me so much trauma. I have been left with burns on my stomach where she waxed me and there was no sympathy or apology from her or the establishment. I would advice anyone to avoid this salon at all costs.
NO INSURANCE! Do Not book this salon for anything. I went to have my blonde hair turned grey. This is something I've had before with no adverse outcome elsewhere. The stylist at this salon chemically burnt my scalp so badly I had to go to hospital. Once my scalp had healed, I pursued legal action against this salon. After around 2 years of going back and forth my lawyer informed me I could not claim because the salon had no insurance for me to claim from!!! They had 0 record of address, phone number or qualifications of the stylist of whom they allowed to hire a seat within their establishment and the establishment itself was not even covered. An absolute disgrace! I simply cannot afford to pursue this any further and to this day I have not received a refund. There a plenty of qualified, competent and insured salons in Dulwich and surrounding areas, avoid this one like the plague , I wish I had!!
This is the only salon that can do my hair as its very thick and the colour takes to it well very pleased
Went for cuticle tidy and gel polish, first appointment was told to take a seat waited 20 minutes jad to ask where the nail lady was to be told she was not yet there and they had no idea where she was 20 minutes later we asked to rebook. went today it was the most painful manicure I've ever had she cut 4 of my fingers to tell one was already there and was nothing to do with her she then put nail polish remover on tissue and then pushed that on my finger which obviously stang i left with my fingers burning and in pain would not recommend amd will never be going back
Love Bounce Hair! Great hairdressers! Mary in particular is very professional and attentive. I do colour, highlights cut and finish and I am very happy with the suggestions and the results!
At all costs don't get your haircut here. I had the worst experience yesterday. 10 mins into my haircut the hairdresser left without explanation to take a personal phone call, she came back and didn't give a very sincere apology. She then hacked at my hair with clippers, leaving hair at different lengths, you might be able to see from the picture there is more hair on one side than the other. Without any consultation she then announced that she had made a 'V' shape in the back of my hair which isn't too my taste. I asked her to thin out my hair but after using the clippers she took off a bit of the length but didn't take any of the weight out. She had a strong accent so it was difficult to understand her when she spoke but there was no attention to detail or customer service. A very disappointing experience.
