   Prices change from day to day even for bags of building sand, all depends who serves you, on what price they want to charge you. Never answer phone either when you want to clarify stock before travelling. As another reviewer has said, go to Berrys at Leyland, cheaper prices consistent and such a large place and still have time to answer the phone

   Very expensive. It is handy if you are working in the local area but if you want to make money on jobs then don’t buy your bulk materials from here. I paid £11 for a pair of hinges which Screwfix and Berrys sell for £3. Plasterboard, multifinish and board adhesive are all expensive so it’s not a good shop for the trade users.

   I ordered a pallet of roof tiles (Marley Modern) to do a small 3 metre by 6 metre extension. I have had some one working of my roof and he has continuously complained about the tiles cracking and not being level we thought this was cause of the cold or the wood. Because so many tiles cracked the guy working on my roof brought some spares he had to finish the job. We noticed the tiles he provided where of a much better quality than the ones I bought from Huwsgray Standish. They are the exact same tiles. I have attached images of side by side comparisons. We have spent hours replacing many cracked tiles. We still have a lot of tiles left on the roof that need to be replaced due to them cracking. The job would be complete if it wasn’t for the low grade tiles provided. We don’t even have enough tiles left to finish the job so will have to purchase more. The reason my tiles where lke this is because they where rushing for xmas.But i didnt require or state i needed them before xmas. The gave me 20 free tiles and a discount on some lead they had quoted me for the same price the previouse week without the discount
