Been in this place many times. last month went in there for my eyebrows I was sitting being taking care off when the employee stoped and started talking to her colleague in there own language witch is already very unprofessional, I had to call her attention because I had to go to work, they laughed, witch I didn't like made me feel very uncomfortable. Today I was willing to give they another change There was 2 employees, 1 was busy with a lady and the other at the till on the mobile phone witch told me to sit down, so I did. After a few minutes, I sat and ask her if she was coming, witch she reply to me would be with me in a short time because she was doing something important on her phone I stood and left. Appealing avoid avoid avoid
I got waxed at Emma’s beauty as a black woman and to put it simply it was a horrible experience. Upon getting told their opinion on my vagina and hair type I was also made feel as though I’m stupid when I’m not. I opted in for the full Brazilian, leg, underarm and belly wax and it was the worst wax job I’ve ever experienced. I got blamed for the wax breaking and her inability to take all the hair off when anyone with ability to see ( mind you I’m short sighted) could see massive patches that I repeatedly had to point out that she hadn’t waxed off. I expect if I’m paying for a service the full service is provided but instead got told as though I’m slow that full grown hairs are ingrowns and refused to wax over the hairs ( which was a lot of I waxed areas) that she couldn’t because she doesn’t want to wax over the same area numerous times despite me saying it was fine as I want all the hair off. Long story short I’ve left absolutely fed up of prompting her to wax off hairs that anyone could see and will not return. My advice as a black woman; don’t get waxed here. You will leave lying for a clearly unfinished job and be made feeling as though it’s your fault and as though your crazy. Do not recommend as someone who gets waxed very regularly.
I have been coming to the beauty stop for several years now and I must say that the treatment services provided (waxing, eyebrows) is fantastic! The staff here are very professional, friendly and go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. I specifically get my treatments done by a fab lady called Sweetie (highly recommended booking with her). She is very consistent and thorough and handles my sensitive skin with care when doing a full body wax - providing helpful advice. I really like the price of treatments as it’s affordable especially in this economy where prices are continuously rising. The store itself appealing interior wise, clean and spacious! I will continue to come to this store and again will urge friends and family to check out Emma’s beauty!
I just done my eyebrows threading and tinting, just before the salon was closed. When I came home and have a good look at them I couldn’t believe my eyes It was awful, she made them thin although I told her just tidy up and there’s no proper shape. I couldn’t look at them properly in the salon due the lighting in the salon wasn’t not very good either I only came today because my regular salon I go to is closed today . Never go there.if you don’t want yours to be spoiled. I was crying when I got home . I have to get to my salon tomorrow and ask if it can be fixed somehow!
Lashes - I come here regularly for cluster lashes and I love them! Saab served me today, took her time and got my lashes how I like them. Also got my eyebrows waxed. Would recommend for your local beauty treatments!
I had my eyebrows waxed and upper lip, had just come from having my eyelashes done. Was also going to have tinting but as soon as she started I could tell she didn’t know what she was doing. The lady doing my brows asked me to open my eyes so she could see my lashes and was complimenting them. She then got wax in my lashes. I am so upset, she didn’t even seem that bothered. Just paid £65 to have my lashes done all for a clump to be gone from this lady being lazy and clumsy. I left without paying. Avoid this place at all costs.
Threading - Was very rushed and we’re left untidy. Person doing them was having a conversation across the shop with her colleague so clearly not concentrating. Had to go home and fix them. Also charged me £9 rather than £7 as I’m male. When I challenged it she said usually males have bushy eyebrows but mine were fine. Still charged my £2 more though. Won’t go back.
