   Tried to enquire about availability and wasn't even asked the dates I was enquiring about yet told the hotel was fully booked? When I said how do you know as I've not given you the dates the man said we are booked until July, so I said we'll it's August I was after and he basically hung up on me - very very rude

   Very strange ‘hotel’ that had more of a hostel feel to it. ID is required and you have to hand in your room key when you go out. Room was clean and tidy. Receptionist was friendly. Cheap but we’ll not be returning.

   Stayed here a little while ago with my family for a week after a house flood. Hotel manager gave us the little cottage out the back self contained, as is was free and available. Instead of two rooms. Also got two travel cots and put them in for me for my twins. The staff were extremely polite, helpful and informative on the food times and anything else we asked for or needed.

   Booked a room 3 weeks in advance for my grandchildren christening, only to be told the night before we travel that they have cancelled our room. I telephoned to ask why and they told me no rooms were available, no alternative accommodation or compensation was offered... very poor and distressing. Stay clear of this hotel as they are unreliable.

   Basic yet very good value for money. Me and my husband needed to get my car repaired after the RAC rescued is, we were Miles away from home so rang round the closest b and bs. We checked in here at 4am, got a few hours sleep and a shower were on our way. Clean and the man who checked my husband in then told me where to room was when I arrived a few mins later was excellent even though it was daft o'clock in the morning!

   Very welcoming staff. Room was very clean and tidy. Any issues were resolved very quickly. Parking has cctv for added security. Arrived a day earlier and hotel gave a reduced price for the extra night after we turned up at the door at 9pm. Highly recommended

   Other than things such as only 1 towel in the room for 2 people over 2 nights and the room not being cleaned or the tea tray not being refilled our main issue was that we messaged to confirm a spa bath room prior to booking. This was confirmed and payment was made. Due to work and travel time we arrived at 8pm. Upon entering our room there wasn’t a spa bath. I complained to the receptionist who informed us that our booking had been moved to another room without notifying us. Because it was so late we weren’t able to leave and find another hotel so we had no option but to stay. I requested a refund but the receptionist wasn’t authorised to give one instead she said she would speak to the manager first. He didn’t arrive! The ONLY reason we booked this hotel was for the spa bath. Therefore I believe we should be given a refund so we can book elsewhere. Preferably somewhere that doesn’t change a booking behind our backs. We have been offered a room upgrade if we stop again. We will not be stopping there ever again! I would like my refund and after careful reading of the regulations of the consumer rights act I AM entitled to a full refund as I did not receive the service that I paid for. I would like my refund ASAP otherwise I will take this further due to principle.

   I stayed at this hotel for one night as a lone traveller and my dog. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms and hotels were cleaned to a high standard. The stay was made by meeting Dawn, she was so warm, friendly and welcoming and made me feel safe and looked after since I was on my own. She literally couldn't have done any more to help me and my dog out. Thank you so much for the giggles too.
