This was my first experience visiting the lovely ladies at the Hampton hub and I can’t thank Maggie enough for giving my son the best haircut ever. He was so delighted with his haircut and style that he video called his grandparents to show them his cool hairstyle. They surely are the best. Highly recommended.
They have been cutting my hair for nearly 40 years. I haven't been anywhere else to have my hair cut (in the UK) during that entire time. This place is a hidden gem. Highly skilled, wonderfully friendly, incredibly good value.
Have lived in Hampton for 20 years and had my hair cut somewhere else only once in all that time, and only because Sweeny Tod were being revamped and redecorated. Wholly recommended for great service (6 in the top, 2 at the back and sides!), great banter, genuine warmth, and a friendly and happy welcome every time. Thanks!
First time going there, took my grandad and he was very happy with the hair cut. The prices are very good there compared to other salons!. Definitely will be going back. The ladies are very kind & welcoming :)
I do not use the barbers to have my haircut as I’m a woman and go to one of the many hairdresser we have in Hampton. However my husband and 3 boys do . The ladies that work in there are lovely, polite and very caring . I feel sorry for someone that can’t get their own way and decides to make a complaints in this way , ladies hairdresser don’t charge very much if your only having a dry cut
@Manjeet heer - My two sons and I have had our hair cut by the lovely women at Sweeney Tod for over 20 years. I find it hard to believe that they would be rude to anyone. This is a barber and the women who own and run the business cut mens hair and have no experience cutting women's hair - nor experience in the high demands that women make of their hair dressers. Their pricing is based on the time taken to cut a mans hair which is usually 10-15mins. Perhaps your criticism and attention seeking nonsense should be taken to the many ladies hairdressers and their pricing rather than trying to ruin a successful local business catering for men and struggling to survive Covid.
I popped in today to ask if i could have a haircut and was flatly refused purely on the basis that i am a woman. I already have very short hair and literally wanted a trim. I was told they do not cut womens hair as a matter of personal choice and gave some poor excuse of not being covered by insurance to cut women's which is illegal and discriminatory in itself. I find it utterly disgusting that in this day and age such Dickension practices go unchallenged and inl clear breach of the Equality Act. Women should not be refused a public service/goods for the same treatment as men and i will most definitely be taking this further
Great local barber. Decent cut, always really friendly. Prices remain reasonable but be warned, it's cash only which can be a challenge with no cash points in the vicinity.
