Element salon is a very relaxed and cheerful hair salon in Teddington. The staff are very friendly and passionate.

   I visited Elements 3 weeks ago for the first time for a cut and colour. I was very excited before going to the salon as it had been one year since my last visit to the hair dressers. Upon booking the appointment I was quoted just under £300 (around £285) for a colour and cut and I was okay with that thinking I’m going to get what I pay for and it would be luxury service. However, it’s not how it has ended for me. The lady who coloured and cut my hair was very pleasant and lovely to talk to. I felt very relaxed and was treated to multiple cups of tea throughout the whole of my visit. When she was cutting my hair, she seemed to be in a rush and it felt like she spent only 10 mins doing so. Once my hair was blow dried and styled, it did look lovely and I was quite pleased with it. But after washing it a few days later, I noticed the cut wasn’t great. It was a disaster! Straight away I sent a message via Elements website to let them know I wasn’t happy and that I’d need to come back. I didn’t get a response from them. I then emailed them, as well as sending a few photos of the awful cut. I still didn’t get a response. When I telephoned them, they had no idea what I was talking about. Anyway, the receptionist booked me in for a cut correction with a different stylist. If I remember correctly, it was Alex (a lovey gentleman) who spent about an hour doing his best to rectify what was done to my hair during the first appointment. I think he was great, very happy with how hard he was trying, but I don’t think my hair can be fixed unless it gets cut to the level where it’s been messed up at, which is just below my chin and my hair was quite long and I wanted to keep it long. Every time I look in the mirror, I get so upset. It’s not what I wanted and definitely not what I’ve paid for. £300 is a lot of money and it was meant to be a big treat for myself and, instead, I got the hair that I feel embarrassed to keep it down. I’m so upset that nobody still to this day contacted me or emailed me back. No apology, nothing… I’m attaching a few photos of my hair after the first appointment.

The young girl who washed my hair was fab too, all the staff are very friendly and attentive. Very happy with my hair and the corrections Jay made from previous salons.
