   I recently visited HK Haircuts for a simple haircut and beard trim, hoping to get a fresh look. Unfortunately, my experience was anything but fare from professionalism When I arrived, the barber told me a standard haircut was £12, and a beard trim was £10. I agreed, expecting a decent service. However, what I got was shocking. Instead of giving me a proper haircut with some style, he ran a number 2 clipper all over my head—no blending, no shape, nothing. It looked like a rushed, uneven job, making me feel like a five-year-old with a basic buzz cut. When I asked if he was going to refine it or make it look better, he told me that going for a 0 or 1.5 (which, by the way, he considers a skin fade) would cost £17. As for my beard, I specifically asked for an Arab-style trim, but he completely botched it with a straight line that didn’t suit the look at all. I left feeling scammed, paying £22 for what felt like 15 minutes of careless work. Not using a shaving cream to cut the lines just using water and my skin is so sensitive. All this happened just because my usual barber was on holiday. Absolutely ridiculous service—definitely not worth the money. Wouldn’t recommend!

   I got a men's dry cut from Jay who seems to be a very friendly and experienced barber with really high attention to detail. Haircuts here I found are also much more affordable for the same level of experience than other barbers in the area.

   Tried this place, very close to where I live, for the first time. Hadn't had a haircut for 10 weeks, so my wife was calling me 'Professor Brainstorm'! Jay asked carefully what sort of cut I wanted and implemented that skilfully. Pleasant to chat to as well, with very reasonable prices. Impressed.

   Great location with great service at a great price, what's not to like? My hair grows quickly so have to get it cut fortnightly, never have to wait too long and worst case there's a cafe next door. Saw Jay last week, nice friendly guy - service with a smile!
