   Unfortunately I had a disappointing experience at the Surbiton Ward & Cross today. I have grown out highlights and I’m going on a beach holiday so I wanted to revive them from the crown. I asked for a half head of highlights but the hairdresser recommended partial highlights for a more natural look (photos below of what these look like according to the internet). I went with her advice. I do have some natural highlights already and in all honesty I can hardly see the new ones. Of course I want it to look natural, but spending so long and so much money on something for an undesirable result is disappointing. I spent hundreds of pounds and hours away from my family, and damaged my hair by dying it, for something that’s basically invisible. I asked for colour in a tone similar to the ends and you can see in the photo below that the crown is still the original colour ie much darker. The cut was also getting messy with irregular shape at the front and in the end I asked for another stylist to finish it, which was incredibly awkward (but tbf the second stylist did a great job of fixing it). Cost me £205 pounds and time that I’ll never get back and I’ve dyed my hair without any visible result. I have never poorly rated a hairdresser before but I spent a lot of money and time on this and others will too- I think it’s a net benefit to warn people and reasonable to have your service critiqued if you do a poor job.

   First time at Ward and Cross Surbiton and Jerlene was amazing! I had balayage and a new style. I love it so much! The colour is how I envisioned and now I don’t even need to style my hair, it sits perfectly. Can’t wait to go back for a refresh. Thanks Jerlene x

   I've been here many times and always the service been amazing. I specially recommend Holly, she is super profesional and really listen customers. Also, they work with Aveda products which is a well known brand as organic a no amoniac which supouse to do less damage to your hair. The place as such is incredible well designed, stylish and cozy at the same time... tea or coffees always welcome you while you do your treatments..: 100% recommended !

   Had my hair cut and blow dried by Dace a few weeks ago and she did an amazing job! I am super happy with the cut and the blow dry lasted a few days! The salon itself is very welcoming, everyone is very nice and polite. Would highly recommend.

   Once I switched to Ward & Cross, I've been unable to move elsewhere. They take care of their customers really well. Understanding my hair type, offering advice for ongoing care without heavily selling products and the best part is the lovely head massage with the hair wash. My hair has improved tons!

   Best haircut I've had. Lovely place and the team is amazing. I was lucky living just round the corner and coming to see Dace for my hair styling ideas, and I'm never after a simple cut. Would have never change to a different place, if I weren't moving countries. Highly recommend!

   I've been to Ward & Cross several times and had a different stylist each time, and been delighted with the service and result every time. Everyone is experienced and highly professional, they really listen to my needs and preferences and adapt the style according to that. The whole salon has a welcoming and laid-back vibe to it and, despite being someone who doesn't normally particularly enjoy going to the hairdresser's, I genuinely enjoy my experience at Ward & Cross and wouldn't go anywhere else.
