   Despite coming in on a very busy Saturday, Julie was exceptional- she asked thoughtful questions and took the time to consult with me on my concerns and hair goals, and then proceeded to give me the most gorgeous curtain bangs and trim. Rowan also gave me a relaxing treatment and scalp massage that made me feel like I was in a spa. I left feeling revived and pampered.

   Jasmine asked me so many questions and took time to understand my personal curly hair journey to be well equipped to advise and recommend what to do to achieve my desired result. She is very experienced and knowledgeable on all things curly aswell as being friendly and welcoming. My curls have never looked so good! Can’t wait to go back. The overall experience, atmosphere and customer service at Taylor Taylor Portobello is also 10/10

   Best curly cut from Jasmine! I had such a great experience today. Jasmine really took the time to listen to what I wanted, and I actually felt comfortable speaking up about my preferences - which can be hard with some hairdressers. She understood my curls perfectly and the result is honestly the best curly cut I’ve had. I’ll definitely be a returning customer!

   I booked with Jasmine for a curly balayage, and it was a fabulous experience! I’ve never had my hair professionally done before but she made me feel so at ease, explained everything so well and took such great care of me and my curls - taking the time to ensure the results were absolutely spot on. The vibe in the salon all around was so warm and positive, and I would 100% recommend Jasmine and Taylor Taylor in the future!

   This was my first time to Taylor Taylor and I was quite nervous about a new salon getting my colour right. I have red hair and wanted to cover some greys that are coming through without using a permanent dye. Nicola was incredible, she spent time matching up the perfect formula and I left completely blown away by how fresh and natural the colour was, but with such an amazing lift. The whole experience was so relaxing and quite fun! They are all so nice. So thrilled to have found such a beautiful salon and amazing colourist and such a sleek blowdry from Nicola. I don’t normally leave reviews but this totally warranted it!

   Went to get balayage done by Nicola at the portobello road location, as I have in the past. Seemed to be going fine until Nicola had a junior mix the bleach for the top half of my head while she finished up painting the bottom half. During the rinse process I heard Nicola reprimanding the junior for mixing something incorrectly but I assumed she had just gotten the colour wrong which is why we needed to “double tone my hair to seal in the colour”. I wasn’t upset at the time because accidents happen when training but if the colour could be fixed then it shouldn’t be a problem. It’s now become very apparent that they burned off large chunks of my hair that now stick straight up and will take years to grow back out to the shoulder length I had. I can’t wear my hair up anymore without looking ridiculous and a messy bun was my go to daily style. Nicola never mentioned the issue or loss of hair to me and continued to charge me a more senior stylists colour rate even though she knew chunks of my hair had been burned off because she failed to supervise the junior mixing the bleach. JRs make mistakes, but when that happens you should own it, not try and hide it from the client. Before I left they had styled my hair so it wasn’t apparent at first but I did think the top didn’t have much colour for the amount of hair I had seen Nicola paint. Now I know why and I will not be returning to Taylor Taylor. I have zero trust in their stylists to 1) properly mix bleach or supervise juniors that are assisting them and 2) own their mistakes and make it right.

   I’ve been wanting to cut my hair really short for at least a year and I’m so happy I did it at Taylor Taylor. Julie cut it so beautifully and Emmah and Rimini told me everything I need to know in regards to the styling and aftercare. It was such a great experience and I’m totally obsessed with my new look. Anyone looking to do the big chop, I’d 100% recommend it!

   5 stars as they have the best colourist in London, @valeria.aloisio . She has done my hair for years. She is a professional at the highest level. She always finds a way do my hair exactly how I want it. She is a super nice and kind person as well, 100% Recommended.

   I've been meaning to write a review for a while but have been too disorganised to do it - I had a great experience as a hair model at Taylor Taylor Portobello ! Paige (and another lovely woman who's name I've forgotten), one of the trainee hair colourists, gave me a scalp bleach to go very blonde, and I am very happy with the result. I felt very comfortable and looked after, and confident that my vision would be achieved by her and the lovely woman who was supervising her and the other trainees, and overseeing that the service was going well. The salon itself is lovely and very relaxing. I really recommend people to be hair models, especially if you are on a budget! I will definitely be back when my roots grow out! thanks so much to the lovely team, Eliot
