Went there with Mortons Neuroma 4 years ago. Had 2 cryosurgery treatments a year apart. Now I have bad discomfort/pain in both feet. Can't wear anything but sandals. I can only wear shoes for a short time. I have persevered with my seagoing career as my position allows me a lot of latitude. I don't doubt the skill. But for me it was an utter failure. I wish someone could do something but I have my doubts. I now have painful lumps in the balls of both feet.
Excellent service! Travelled from northern Scotland. Consultation, and procedure very professional. Subsequent to the cryosurgery I have needed no pain relief whatsoever, and my foot is recovering as per the information pack. After 2 weeks I was cycling again, and after 3 weeks golfing again. After 6 weeks I am cycling 100 miles a week, and playing 3 rounds of golf each week….all without pain, just a little sore on occasion. I am very pleased with the outcome. ( I am 64 years old)
I am writing this 12 weeks after my neuroma treatment at the London office. My recovery has gone just as Mr Weaver suggested it might - two weeks of no pain whatsoever, then a feeling of a pad under my foot, and an 'awareness' of the nerve along the toe. I say 'awareness' because it has been no more than that. I gradually continued adding time on my feet, and when the awareness arrived, sat down. At 8 weeks my husband & I took a train journey from Seville, through Cordoba, and on to Granada, the idea being that if my foot felt sore we could have a coffee and watch the world go by. I didn't need any painkillers on the trip, and covered about 11 km each day with the walk and rest approach. Tension is draining from my body - my shoulders have relaxed and I walk freely and happily. After 3 years of pains like lightning shooting from my toes to my shoulder blades I am pain-free. I had tried supportive insoles and had the cortisone injection, but was reluctant to go all the way with a nerve incision, so decided to try cryosurgery. Mr Weaver explains everything clearly, and the actual procedure is surprisingly quick. I am so happy that I went to him, and only wish I'd gone sooner. Thank you, Barn Clinic.
I wish that I'd discovered The Barn Clinic years ago! I struggled with excruciating pain of a Morton's Neuroma for about 2 years, and had cryosurgery at the Sheffield Clinic in September 2023. In the following months the pain came and went (never as severe as before the cryosurgery though). 6 months into recovery there is no day to day pain in the previously affected area, just very light passing discomfort if I've walked or cycled more than 6 miles or so. I would really recommend Mr Weaver and The Barn Clinic. The Sheffield facility is modern, comfortable, and within very easy reach of Sheffield Railway Station.
I had an amazing experience with the Barn Clinic. I booked in to get an ingrowing nail removed, they had plenty of availability and the podiatrist was very friendly. The whole experience was lovely and they worked hard to ensure I was happy and comfortable. They even gave me a check up appointment a week later to ensure the toe was healing okay. Highly recommend!

I had a 0.9cm Morton Neuroma between 3rd and 4th toes and was naturally anxious about having cryosurgery, but I have to say I needn't have been. The procedure wasn't painful (just a little uncomfortable). I healex quickly with no pain. At the 5th week after my procedure I had some slight residual tenderness under the arch of my foot, which I was advised could happen for a few months. After 8 months I had my follow up scan and the neuroma has gone. Ive a small bursa instead now which is causing me a bit of discomfort but that's nothing to do with the procedure. One happy customer!
After years of not being able to walk properly I finally had enough. I went to my local GP and got referred to hospital, had some appointments and scans. I was left with the options of 1. Keep living with limited mobility and lots of pain 2. Remove the nerves in my foot I wasn’t feeling either of these options so started to investigate my options going private. This is when I found the Barn Clinic, I had a consultation and scan, the results showed that I actually had the "full house" of neuromas, 2 in each foot! All the nerves were 2 or 3 times the size they should of been. I had several treatments and now living pain free! Before the procedure I couldn’t even walk for half an hour before I was reduced to a painful crawl. Last week I climbed 2 mountains in 5 days with no pain from my feet at all. Was treated for a Morton's Neuroma on my left foot just over a year ago. There's been some improvement, and I now have maybe 25 per cent less pain than I did originally - but I have to say that's probably not enough to justify the price tag of £1,500. I still can't walk barefoot, and I still have to use an insert (and wear only extra-wide Skechers shoes!). Nice people, and professional equipment, etc - but the operation didn't work for me.
