Heinz has been cutting my hair for about 25 years. His haircuts are precise and often referred to as ‘stunning’. His cuts grow out well and still look great after 3 months! I don't often leave reviews but after seeing Heinz today I can see why he is 5 stars on Google. In a city with a barber on every corner, finding someone who can do a tasteful mens haircut is surprisingly difficult but glad I have now found someone so competent and friendly who can. I cannot recommend Heinz Schumi enough. For years I have struggled with my hair. Heinz is not just a hairdresser he is an artist and his reputation as one of London’s best is richly deserved: a master of his profession. What was quite unique was also the emphasis he placed on the need to preserve the health of hair. Heinz Schumi is incredibly personable, brilliant with the razor and scissors, and equally good with his right hand or left land as he is ambidextrous! I gave him a 'free hand' to do any haircut he thought would suit me. He considered me thoughtfully for 5 seconds, went through his digital lookbook and zeroed in on the style that he thought would work. At the end, he was right, I loved the cut he gave me. Heinz doesn't hack off the hair; he goes in stages, giving himself and his client opportunity to go further and adjust. The salon has a friendly family feel to it, and Heinz clearly takes pride in his work.

Heinz has been cutting my hair since 2001 when I moved into St Luke's Street, a few doors down from his salon at the time. I immediately knew I would never go to anyone else, and have enjoyed visiting him in all his subsequent locations. There is no need to explain, he knows exactly what you want, and apart from the excellent haircut, there is the bonus of his great chat. It is like dropping in on a dear friend and I hope we can continue the arrangement for decades to come. Nathalie also gave me some great colour tips.
