    I went to the salon at closing time on Thursday with a hair disaster needing help ,no appointments for 2 weeks but Jay took pity on me and told me to come the next day at 6 which was closing time . On Friday when I arrived he continued his long day giving me a hair cut that left me feeling so much better . I appreciate him "going the extra mile " This is why he has no appointments for 2 weeks and clients who have been using the salon for years . His business ethic and work satisfaction have given him a business to be very proud of. You also get good advice .Thank you Jay. Nu

    I was seen by a stylist called in to help out for the day due to staff shortages. This wasn’t run past me to see if I was ok with it, despite my appointment time and stylist having already been changed once prior to my coming in. He agreed to give me what I wanted (see photo) which I have had many times before in terms of shade, and the consultation was thorough. I didn’t get what I paid for largely because he was doing someone else’s hair at the same time as mine and kept leaving my head to go to hers which I was very understanding about. He also attempted to cut a design into my undercut and had to leave it with random tramlines in it because apparently none of the clippers in the salon were sharp enough for the job. Again, I was very understanding that too. My colour wasn’t allowed adequate processing time and the toner was very dark. When I provided feedback I was basically told this hadn’t happened and that I was informed beforehand (untrue) I would not get the light result I wanted, as if bleaching my brown hair is some kind of miraculously technical feat of hairdressing that needs to be done in stages. I’ve been treated like someone who knows nothing and is dishonest and I don’t like that. I’d rather you’d cancelled my appointment than allocate someone to me who isn’t up to the job. I also left with damp, frizzing roots which you can see in the photos, as my hair was not properly dry. Very bad practice.

    By far, my favourite hair salon north London. Team is great. I had a colour and cut with Jay - the colour still looks great after 3 months (which is unusual for my hair). I also saw Sam and Valerie doing hair of other clients and the outcome looked great as well.
