   First time client ….Jules blow dried my hair, he was very knowledgable and asked me lots of questions before he did my hair. I was very pleased with the finished product. However… first impressions were not that great. There was a takeaway packet and bottle of beer on the reception desk when I walked in, no body came to greet me for a good 4 or 5 minutes. My shampoo was the worst I’ve ever experienced… so disappointing as it’s usually my favourite part. She did not even wash the crown, just scratched at my forehead, above my ears then back of my neck a few times ..then kept pausing.. it was most odd. But thank you Jules you were great.

   A friend of mine recommended me to Lara at Stuart Phillips a few years ago. I always thought that hairdressers were too expensive and hat they didn’t understand men’s hair as well as a cheap and cheerful barber. Lara was great, she made me understand that if my hair is cut really well it will grow out well and will last longer, therefore not needing to go for a trim every 2 weeks as I was previously. I was made to feel really comfortable and now I look forward to going there for the friendly conversation as much as I do for my hair cut. After spending some time with Lara I always leave with a big smile on my face.

   I absolutely adore Lara. I trust her with my curly hair. I went to her to get my long hair cut short. She was supportive and patient with my nerves. I love my hair and have been coming back for two years since. If you’re in London for a trip and need a cut I’d recommend Lara in a heartbeat.

   Lara has been my hairdresser for 10 years and I will not let anyone else touch my hair! She is a master of her art. She is exceptionally talented with colour and knows how to cut so that your hair falls effortlessly into style long after your visit to the salon. Lara knows exactly how to give you the look you want, and with her experience and creative eye, she will advise what will work best for you, and she is always right! I am very allergic to many hair product ingredients, and dyes, and Lara has gone out of her way to accommodate me, and still make sure I look great. I can not sing her praises more strongly.

   Lara has been cutting and colouring my hair for so many years now I couldn't imagine going anywhere else. Lara always gives me a cut that suits me and that's manageable. Her colour skills are amazing too. She always gives me colour that looks completely natural (far from it!) The cut and colour always seem to look even better as time goes by, and she colours my hair so well that I don't get any root growth. She always gives me a cut and colour that is slightly different depending on the season too! Literally can not wait to come in for my next appointment and get some Lara ♡.

   I started coming to Stuart Phillips when Debbie joined - she knows how to cut my curly hair in a way that works both when it's natural and straightened. I now go to Debbie for hair colouring too and I'm so happy with the results. I get good advice on maintenance/keeping hair healthy as well as the cut/colour/blow-dry. Really nice service from the non-stylist staff as well. Highly recommended!
