   I booked an advanced stylist 3 weeks in advance. There was no advice whilst booking which type of service you need based on your hair type - just a long list of services, all which included a consultation. I booked what I thought I needed. I then arranged childcare for my baby and stayed up till 1am preparing my hair (had to remove braids). On the morning of the appointment I was running 15mins late. I text them to tell them and asked if I should still come (as it's over an hour from my home). They said yes still come. Then I arrive to be told that I had booked the wrong appointment for my hair type (where is this stated?) and that because I was late they can't do my hair or they'll be late for their next appointment. I explained the situation and wasn't offered anything or an apology, just a rebooking and an a offer that she would 'tell the manager it's not clear'. I'm sure they could have made an exception, or could have saved me a journey by telling me not to come when I had text. I understand the stylist didn't want to rush but absolutely no budge, I've never been treated like this by a salon before. This is terrible service and I'm extremely disappointed. First hair appointment since giving birth and an entire wasted morning. I will not be rebooking. If I could give zero stars I would.

   I had a great experience at Unruly Curls. Massive thank you to Marga who gave me a transformation, answered my million and one questions happily, and unintentionally taught me that you can watch and copy all the Instagram videos in the world but with the wrong cut you aren’t going to get the best out of your hair. This picture is the next day after a refresh, when it actually looked better than the day of the cut. My hair is now more curly and voluminous than ever and it is much easier and faster to style than before. Update: I wasn’t super happy with the cut at my 2nd or 3rd visit so I think it really is about the hairdresser you choose. Note that different hairdressers have different prices.

   My colour is beautiful, my hair cut is okay. Wanted a better cut for more volume, unfortunately they cut too much. What I didn’t like the most is that normally if I go to a salon and pay a lot of money, I expect them to have the best hair products. Unruly curls uses products like cantu from a normal convenient store. This really made me think if the money I spend there was worth it. The team was amazing and friendly but I wish they would use the money we pay them with for more quality products.

   I have older, long, curly hair that has gotten completely unmanageable the past few years and have spent too much money at regular salons for products and with stylists that say, "Sure, I'm great with curly hair". I've walked away dissatisfied every time, only to try yet another. I can finally post a positive review. I saw Claudio for a dry cut. Not only was it the best cut for my hair, he recommended a non-shampoo based product and it was the best and cheapest product I have used. It wasn't even an up sale at the salon! Within 2 washings, my hair is better than it's been in nearly 20 years. Even my husband (who never notices these things) commented on it. Thank you, Claudio. Make the decision and go to Unruly Curls! For real!

   What a great salon! The staff are all so lovely, and I received the best cut for my crazy curls by Anthony. My new go to. Would highly recommend to anyone with curly hair who wants a cut from a place that knows what they’re doing.

   Andrea is a true ray of sunshine who cuts curly hair so well! It was my first time at a curly hair salon (I have 2a/2b curls) and I felt to welcome. Andrea gave me a quick consultation before doing my hair and I’m OBSESSED. I think I found my new hairdresser in London! 15/10 highly recommend. Especially Andrea who is super kind, funny, and a gem.

   I had Grace as my stylist and my experience with her was everything I could have hoped for. She knew exactly what I needed/wanted, the way she styled and gently looked after my hair, it was surreal. My shape was flat as a pancake and now I have amazing layers. I stopped going to salons as they always charged me extra for having long hair or thicker hair. I am happy to say that Unruly Curls is nothing like that and is truly worth a visit. Thank you to the team for a great experience. Update : My curls are as fabulous as ever (picture without face mask). I no longer get knots/split ends at the ends of my hair. The advice I was given in regards to styling my hair was so useful. I am very happy with my hair going forward.
