I have been at this practice for over 25 years and have seen it at its worst and at its best. Now the new partners are settled and money is being spent bringing it up to date I can say it is back to being a great practice. For a long time it had a ad reputation but I felt I wanted to come on here to say ALL the GP's are very good and on the whole the whole team seem happier in their work. A massive change of staff has had a really positive impact and there is now a friendly energy which had been lacking for a few years.

I have been with this practice for 16 years, and although I have not had to call on their services very often, the experience has always been very positive. The reception staff are always cheerful, friendly and very helpful. The Doctors have changed since I first registered, the originals were all excellent, and the newer ones I have had the pleasure of meeting have always been efficient, caring and helpful. The other medical staff have also always offered that same level of help and care in a friendly manner. There is obviously a solid culture of good patient care throughout the practice. Sadly I am moving out of the area covered by Oakhill, and doubt I will find another that offers this outstanding level of service.

I'd not been for years to the GPs and I've now been 3 times in 6 weeks. I've seen 3 different GPs in that time. I was very pleased with the politeness and friendliness of the receptionists and professionalism and thoroughness of the GPs. Each time I was offered an appointment the same day after ringing soon after 8am and not kept on hold for too long. I'd recommend them.

I had given my local GPs a positive review, but yesterday my partner called on my behalf as I had a lower back spasm and was in no state to call myself. It took her a long time to get through and she was told I would get a call during the day. By 5PM I had had no call and so she phoned again to be told I was called at 11:45AM but didn't answer. I have had the phone next to me all day. This 11:45 call was not made to my number so was either a mistake or a total lie. I did 1471 and we have had no calls to our landline in 10 days. So, I have had another night of crawling to the loo in agony with no prescribed pain-killers as all we were told was to call back today for 'another' appointment. Why bother? Totally pointless. I will be writing a letter of complaint today because this is garbage. To be honest, I was incandescent yesterday.

I was given antidepressants for Gastritis. Within a few months I had been given one after the other antidepressants. I was NOT depressed at the time. The antidepressants particularly Trazodone had a terrible effect on my mental health with terrible consequences. I was then put on another antidepressants because of the event the other antidepressants caused. I fortunately realised the cause of my issues and against advice came off everything. I’ve since moved to a different practice I take no medication at all and I’m absolutely fine. I’m just posting the review as a warning to trust your instincts research medications before taking them. I know the tide is changing as regards prescribing antidepressants for stomach issues so hopefully people will be spared the same issues I had. I realise Doctors are under a lot of stress and have a difficult job so I’m grateful for all the hard work . But I am now extremely careful of medications prescribed.

Extremely rude and angry receptionist, staff and doctors. No regard for patient care, siting COVID 19 to avoid seeing patients. Why does NHS only hire the worst practices for the public? The appointments are only telephonic and they answer the phone after a long time.

Absolutely poor service when you want to make an appointment, since last week we are trying to make a appointment for my son and phone service is ridiculous, every day same problem, we was in queue for more than 35 or 40 minutes and we was automatically disconnected when we was just about to speak, when we got through after 3 hours we been told no appointments for today try tomorrow, tried next day and result was the same. We can't even go to surgery to make an appointment. Not happy at all.

Reception staff and Practice manager extremely helpful with me. The NHS app on my phone kept on throwing me out. With determination and outstanding teamwork, I now can happily report that we got it up and running. I’m grateful of a consistently reliable service at my GP practice. Thanks very much ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My conscience could not rate any higher than 1 star. The Practice itself is clean and modern. However you have to jump through hoops to get an appointment and through my personal experience you are often rushed out of the door and made to feel like you are wasting their time. There are a few good GP's here and they are under a great deal of pressure. Perhaps contributing to general GP after-care being shoddy. The NHS isn't properly funded by government and even hernia's have been classified as cosmetic surgery.
