I visited this GP Collab after admitting myself into A&E, and was left deeply unsettled by the behavior of the attending doctor. I was treated dismissively, and as I was leaving, I received an inappropriate comment that had no place in a professional medical setting. I took the matter seriously and raised it through every available channel—PALS, the Ombudsman, and the GMC—but none provided meaningful accountability or acknowledgment of the experience. No patient should leave care feeling unheard, disrespected, or unsafe. I hope this review sparks real change in how patients are treated in the NHS.

Was put in contact with them for advice and emergency treatment of a sudden dehiscence of an old scar with symptoms of a severe infection. Why I was put in contact with GP out of hours and not a paramedic I don't know. The doctor on the phone was clearly googling my symptoms or something. Despite emphasising that I was losing a lot of blood from an open wound, they suggested I had a virus and I should speak to my GP in the morning. Funnily enough, I put my symptoms into a symptom checker (to see if it was an infection or something worse) and "common cold" is the first thing to appear. Ah yes, a cold can cause a four year old wound to suddenly reopen and bleed everywhere. What a joke.

I don't get the point of this GP. Went to the A&E with severe abdominal pain to be told to go to this GP. I got there being told the waiting was 4 hours but it didn't look busy at all, just to be have some blood pressure checked. Then to be told to go back to my GP for further checks. This is not how patients should be treated like. It's hard enough that they suffer because of their illness but there is no relief that they will get proper treatment. Wake up NHS and invest in people's lives.

We had an appointment for yesterday for my daughter, and I can't fault the service at all. The receptionist lady was lovely, the doctor was very caring and informative. You could see he wasn't just trying to get thru the appointment quickly but took his time, listened to our concerns and talked us through what we should try to do next. When I had to pop back to drop a sample off the receptionist lady remembered us. eventhough people are coming and going all day long. What a nice touch!!.. Thanks guys

I have used this service before. Contacted 111 who rang me back 9 hours later and sent me to the Northern Gen to the GP collaborative. I was seen quickly, within 15 minutes of the time I was asked to arrive. The doctor was reassuring and seemed genuinely interested and did listen. Previous times I felt I was fobbed off just to get me out and through the busy waiting room. Reception staff were polite and helpful. Overall it's a good service if you can't get seen at your own GP surgery. Does get busy though and you can be waiting some time depending on the time of day and people attending.

Filled in 111 online form, was happy to wait the expected six hours. Got a call back within five minutes from the Collab. GP was great and efficient and all sorted with a script. Thank you so much.

service is more and more worse. Is unbelievable this place is still operating. Beyond ridiculous. After7-8 hours of waiting, the doctor just say need to see local GP again , I would request to Prime Minister todo something for Sheffield community to improve doctors education and provide some more courses for the better treatment of patient, if you want to waste your time come here , not recommend at all is better to die at home … Regards

Amazing and personal GP experience. I had an emergency and the staff were just incredible. So great to not be rushed, to talk it all through and get the help I needed. Highly recommended service.

Very disappointed today that my 84 year old very poorly mum had to wait 5 hours in her Residential Home to be seen by a doctor from the GP COLLABORATIVE. The doctor who attended was excellent but the wait was not!

Ended up in A+E due to my throat closing leaving me unable to breathe alongside chest pain which resulted in me passing out with a lump on my neck. Was referred to gp collab due to it apparently not being an emergency to be told by gp collab that I should have some counciling! Abseloutly disgusting.
