I had one of the most unprofessional salon experiences of my life at Nu-Style Hair Centre in Woolwich. In the middle of my appointment, while the stylist was blending my hair system with my natural hair, the owner, Gabriela, suddenly appeared on FaceTime and ordered the stylist to stop immediately. No warning, no proper explanation, just an abrupt shutdown of the service while I was sat there mid-cut. It was rude, embarrassing, and genuinely baffling. The stylist looked mortified, which should tell you everything. The excuse given was that staff were not trained to cut hair systems, despite the fact the exact same service had been done for me there a week earlier. If this is their idea of “professional standards”, customers deserve better. To add insult to injury, I was quoted £800 for a hair system, justified by claiming it comes from the United States. Anyone familiar with the industry knows these systems are almost universally manufactured in China. High quality units can be bought directly from reputable suppliers such as Lordhair for a fraction of the price, and you are not treated like an inconvenience while you sit in the chair. Poor communication, inflated pricing, and the kind of attitude you do not expect to encounter when you are paying good money for a service. I walked out mid-trim not because I wanted to, but because the owner forced it with a sour expression and zero professionalism. There are far better and more respectful options in London. Do your research and spare yourself the nonsense.
Absolutely love this place! I went to this salon for purple highlights, and the stylist did an amazing job. She took her time bleaching and colouring my hair perfectly. Colour came out vibrant and exactly how I wanted it. My hair feels soft and looks great even though it’s thin. Everyone there was friendly, professional, and really knew what they were doing. I’ll definitely be coming back for my next colour refresh. Highly recommend this salon to anyone looking for experts.
I had my highlights and toner done by Angi, and I couldn’t be happier with the results! She is incredibly attentive and meticulous, making sure every detail was perfect. The colour turned out beautifully - even, natural, and exactly what I wanted. You can really tell she puts a lot of care and effort into her work. The whole experience felt very professional and high quality. Highly recommend Angi if you’re looking for someone who truly cares about delivering great results!
We were extremely happy with Angie's service. We had a family makeover and Angie did exactly what we wanted. Highly recommend. My daughter wanted to change her hairstyle from long hair to the perm. Thanks to Angie for understanding what she wanted and doing a marvelous job.
