   I always used to think getting a haircut meant walking out “okay” with it, then waiting for a week or so for my hair to look how I actually wanted them to look — until Shannon started doing my hair. She just gets it every time. I actually leave the salon having my hair exactly how I wanted straight away, not a week later! She pays attention to the little details, and somehow always knows how to create an illusion to make a receding hairline look like a trend I wanted. Couldn’t recommend her enough!

   I am a gent and have been coming to JM Hairdressing for many years, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. The staff are always kind, friendly and accommodating, offering a hot drink and checking in if there is ever a short wait. Jason has been my cutter from the very start and has never missed. He is a master of his craft, using blades, specialist scissors and other tools to create the right texture, flow and shape so the cut sits properly. He explains what he is doing and why, which shows real creativity and makes the process interesting. You end up not only with a great haircut, but also learning a little along the way. More than once I have come in with an overgrown look and a bold idea of what I wanted, and Jason has taken extra time to get it right instead of rushing. That speaks volumes. Every cut feels considered and detailed, and you always feel you are getting your money’s worth. The cuts also last and grow out well, which makes them excellent value. You pay once, not twice. The salon itself is modern, perfectly clean and well cared for. Fresh towels and aprons are used every time, and there is clear attention to hygiene between clients. A good range of products is available at reception, with friendly advice and recommendations if you would like them. Prices are very fair for the level of care and attention you receive, and impressively they have stayed consistent over the years. I have referred many family and friends, and every one of them has had the same experience and nothing but praise. It really feels like a privilege to have such an outstanding salon so close to home. Highly recommended. If you are on the fence, just book in!
