The young lady on A&E reception tonight needs to tone down her appalling attitude, on arrival with my child I went to check in and the utter arrogance from this staff member was appalling, we are asked to treat staff with respect and I think that should be unforced the other way round too!

First the children’s hospital as a whole do an incredible service for the community. The accident and emergency is sometimes lacking. Some great staff but leaving an 11 month year old child who hasn’t managed to keep any food or liquid down for 2 days waiting just short of 5 hours literally the last person to be seen including arrivals hours after is a real shame. No ops were even taken in the close to 5 hours after triage at any point. This may be a partly a funding issue for staff maybe I don’t know. Possibly save some money on the guy on reception who had Tui holidays on his screen when you got there at midnight and was still looking at it at 5am when you left. Some job he’s got…

Amazing care at Sheffield Children’s Hospital A&E. The staff were kind, professional, and treated my children with real compassion. Special thanks to Dr. Henry for his kindness and patience—he made a big difference during a stressful time. Grateful for such a dedicated team! Thank you all for your service.

My child has had 2 surgeries here under the care of Mr Giles and ward 2. The care he receives is outstanding. I have been given a bed beside him and this time we were lucky enough to have a peaceful room instead of the noisy ward. The nurses and staff has made our visits much better than expected, nothing was too much trouble. Ward 2 has a family area where we can always get hot drinks cereal and I even saw a freezer where parents can get a meal and pay whatever they can afford. There is nothing more we could have asked for so a huge thankyou for helping my son through this difficult time. Bless all NHS staff who make a difference every single day & night.

My 5 week old baby girl sadly passed away here on 26/11/21, the same day my 2 year old son was admitted with severe pneumonia and my baby was in the morgue but they call it rose cottage. The staff were very sympathetic and catered to our needs, they were brilliant looking after my baby and I saw her everyday.. The staff still call me to see how I'm feeling, My son was discharged on December 1st..the picture is him waiting for a taxi home!

In the information office at the entrance, the ladies are not behaving well, the people are scarce, they say why did you come, did I bring it to the ED out of my own pleasure?
