Had a great experience. The barber really listened to what my son wanted and nailed the cut. Clean shop, good vibes, and solid attention to detail.
At first I thought they messed me up but after a shower and proper styling it was class. My barber abs was such a sound barber so yh big him up. Basically what I’m trying to say is a star is a class barber best trim or my life.
Massively overrated barber shop despite all the good reviews. My barber Abz was 10 minutes late to see me which is actually not a big deal. However the haircut and particularly the beard trim/shape up was extremely rushed. The beard was not faded to the extent shown to him in a picture and the shape up/trim was left half done. Having spent 1 hour travelling there based on their reputation, I would definitely say it was not worth travelling all that way for a really rushed haircut & beard service having made to feel that he wanted me out as soon as possible. Maybe their higher profile cliental are treated differently with more eye to detail and time being reserved for them as your everyday person does definitely not get the same service !
Review for Star Barber – Specifically Alex Had a frustrating experience with Alex today. I asked for the same trim I always get — scissors on top with a fade — and he told me he couldn’t do the fade because I asked for scissors, claiming it would require using the machine. That makes no sense at all. I’ve had this exact cut done before without any issue. It felt like he just didn’t want to do the job properly. Left the place annoyed and disappointed. Not coming back.
Had a great experience at A Star! My son’s haircut and fade turned out perfect – super clean and sharp. Andy was patient, friendly, and made him feel comfortable throughout. We’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!
My husband and one of my boy had a haircut, I couldn’t find any price listed on the board anywhere. After 10 mins haircut each we were told total price was £40 and CASH ONLY. I wash going to support local business and I thought it would be under ten pounds for a 5 year old so I didn’t ask before the service (my mistake) but apparently between Friday and Sunday the price for a kid is £20. I had to go online to check their price list and it stated £20 pounds for 30 mins, we only spent maximum 15 mins on each haircut. We didn’t have cash and my husband had to go home to get cash!!!!!! I actually argue with them they didn’t spend 30 mins for my boy’s haircut, they said kids should be charged more, which I didn’t agree at all( pls look at all the other barbers). I understand family perhaps is not the target group for this barber, but they should let customer aware before the service(my citizen right). I believe we are entitled to a refund for half of the service. I will contact citizen right to log a complain. That is the right thing to do for clients, nothing personal. Thanks!

Been coming to A Star for over a year now, and have always had a great experience. Ahmed and the team are all top quality barbers, and would recommend any one of them. Theo’s been my regular barber, and would highly recommend him for short hair and beard trims. Really good atmosphere in there, great quality service and reasonably priced. Highly recommend these guys.
Great place for a haircut, barbers are always helpful with styling. It is a bit pricey in comparison to others but worth it if you need a haircut once monthly. Can be busy at times they do offer a booking service at premium, my way go once if you like what you get go second time.
