Appointment arranged as part of A&E visit previous afternoon. A very thorough examination and all members of staff I saw were polite and helpful. Results referred very promptly to the Eye Clinic at the Royal who contacted me for an appointment the same day.
I received fantastic customer service and great advice from Coral who helped me choose my new glasses and sunglasses. Coral suggested a style I normally wouldn’t have gone for. All in all a great experience. Thankyou Coral
I had a fantastic experience at the Chesterfield Town Centre branch today thanks to the male manager who served me. He was incredibly helpful and friendly, making the whole process easy and enjoyable. Great customer service like this really stands out!
Usually I would give 5 stars and have had great experience in the past. A couple of things - small but I’ve never had any issues before. The guy that took the initial eye tests failed to notice that the test I paid for didn’t work in one eye. The optician did, but said it didn’t matter he could tell it was ok. So what did I pay for - rather reluctantly they did it again once I’d finished with the optician. Still not sure if it was ok really as not sure the optician actually looked at it. The optician l used a tape measure to get my close distance reading for looking at books - probably 30cm from my face - but didn’t explain what he was doing. I pointed out that I didn’t read a book that close - I’ve always been asked to hold the test paper at where I hold a book before so they get the right reading for me. When I was paying the assistant offered me the eye drops the optician had recommended - except he hasn’t mentioned them. Do I need them, what for- they were for dry scratchy eyes, but mine feel fine. Why didn’t he discuss it with me and point out that he recommended them. I was happy with the main sight test but these other bits did make me wonder about going elsewhere. Didn’t treat me as an individual, just a thing.
I have been attending this opticians for a number of years. And as always from entering the opticians all the staff are professional and so helpful. The eye test and screening is excellent and the staff are very helpful when you are choosing your glasses.
Fantastic staff My sunglasses wouldn't arrive in time for my holiday So the amazing manager had a pair made in store for me. Brilliant

Was seen at short notice for an eye problem. Excellent customer service by all staff concerned. Made me feel most welcome and was given a full reassuring explanation by the optometrist of what had happened to my eye.
I had my eyes tested on Bank Holiday Monday and all the staff were excellent especially the young man who started recently, sorry I didn't note his name. He was exceptional, he did everything he could to help me find the right glasses which was very difficult for him as I have a very slim face. Definitely recommend
