The doctors there don’t know what their doing allways fobbing you off, soo un-professional, judgement and never can get a appointment allways seem to be fully booked even tho we be ringing 1st thing in morning as soon the practice be open, also can never get hold of the doctors because the receptionist trying to be hero’s wen they job is to take calls and send our messages over but they try to be doctors themself wen ur meant to be receptionist taking calls and messages not doing thru personal data and trying to be a doctor. Worst estimate ever never had this kind of experience in my life.

Having recently moved from another local surgery where I had found worsening care for a while I have been very happy with the treatment myself and my family have had with Baslow Road so far. They have been very accommodating for appointments, all my interactions with receptionists, nurses, pharmacists and GPs have been polite and helpful. Being a GP myself, I have found that they have respected my position and knowledge and gone above a beyond. Currently questioning why I didn’t move sooner. Thank you to all the staff who have been involved in the care of myself and my family so far.

The practice always do their absolute best to help and accommodate with telephone or in person appointments. I appreciate they are trying to help people with life limiting illness, mental illness alongside patients with minor ailments, all of whom I believe receive the same level of care and compassion. I am very grateful to all the team. Thank you.

This practice seems to going down hill fast. We had a two week health plan for my 90 year old mum, doubling the dose of her meds. She continues to be in severe pain. When the two weeks was up, no one knew anything about it, now she’s waiting another 3 weeks for a review with a different Doctor. When challenged the so called practice manager was rude and didn’t really want to know. If there was a zero rating the practice would be getting it. We will be managing Mums pain via the 999 service in the hope that se sees a Doctor who knows what they are doing.

This is the best GP surgery I have ever used. The online triage system works very well and the staff are caring and listen. I've actually been phoned out of hours to make sure I was ok because of issues that weren't followed up by other medical professionals. I'm very grateful for the care here.

Friendly, helpful and attentive surgery. We saw Timothy today (Mar 2023) and he was fantastic with our son - thorough and evidently caring. It’s clear that this surgery have made significant investment into continually improving the service. We’re grateful for the care provided.

If I could give this surgery no stars I would. I used to think this surgery was amazing till Dr Moorhead left this surgery has nothing good left. I had a huge brain surgery after bing attacked and suffer with memory issues, PTSD. I was kicked off their register even though they knew I am under the Neurosurgeon team at the hospital and stuggling with my mental health. Dr Moorhead was the only one I felt support by. Now that he has left they have refused to see me and kicked me off the register. The mental health team witnessed staff being rude to me during a phone call. It’s so important for you to feel supported when your struggling and this surgery will never provide that support.

I had the worst experience at Baslow Road Surgery. We had to immediately return from our holiday as my son fell ill. The first stop was an A and E in Kent where they misdiagnosed my son ( we got to know later). We went back home and my son health detoriated even more. I rushed to the surgery and to my shock the lady at the reception blatantly told me that my son can’t enter the surgery as he got diagnosed for measles and he will infect other people. I requested that I will not enter the surgery and wait outside and if the doc can still see him in the car parked outside because he is unwell. To my shock she said I will see if the doctor can call you. Disappointed I went home and my husband rushed to Sheffield A& E who did an amazing job in treating my son who never had measles in the first place and he was misdiagnosed. Absolutely disappointing experience , never going to this surgery ever again

At the moment It does not seem possible to talk on the telephone. The phone cuts out immediately. You used to be placed in a queue and just had to wait. Today I went to the surgery for an influenza vaccination. There were no patients ,other than those waiting to be vaccinated. Whilst there, I listened carefully and there were no ringing telephones which is odd as usually there are constant calls. I can find no email address. I am driven to communicating by post.

Phones are busy most of the time. If your not a baby or senior citizen, forget about getting the appointment the same day. They will happily tell you to go to the walk-in centre, no matter how you are feeling or how much energy you have. The max will be a call out and 9 out of 10 times you seems to know better that the gp. Lastly, The terrible reception service is just an icing on the cake!!!
