   This store used be good but it’s awful now and, following the trend, provides extremely poor service. From rude staff making it awkward to shop, only a few staffed tills which in the main are card only to items often not in stock. Then there is the cafe which is absolutely awful and best avoided. Extremely unhelpful staff who clearly see customers as a nuisance to be ignored while they chat and play on their phones to basic poor service and the fact that you can only purchase food or drinks via a touchscreen which takes an age to use and doesn’t work. Avoid this store as there are several others extremely close by. From Asda, Morrisons, to Aldi.

   Travelled here from Liverpool, and went the market I love Widnes, but I won't be going back to this Tesco ever!!! Staff are rude and miserable, shelves are empty, fresh meat selection so poor. It's very tatty and looks like it needs a good clean, the whole store needs re organising seems everything is dumped in different sections, will be sticking to my local Tesco in the future, where it's smaller but cleaner and staff are much friendlier, come on you are losing custom!!!

   Rude staff is an understatement. As I was shopping yesterday, like a do every week, I spotted a pack of smoked salmon on the shelf where the reduced items are. A very rude lady was marking items up and when I politely asked to just grab that pack of salmon - there were loads of it - I was met with a very rude - no, you have to wait till I finish marking up all these items before you get one. She literally didn't allow me to grab a pack of salmon and go. I came back to the isle some 40 mins later and she was still marking products!!! Is one supposed to wait 40 minutes for a member of staff to mark products at a snail pace to grab something off a shelf? When did customer service got out of the window at Tesco? The lady might have power trip issues, but not allowing a paying customer to get a pack of fish is ridiculous. Judging by the reviews of this store, it's not uncommon to be greeted with utter rudeness and obnoxious behaviour.

   It's not 'Extra' as it sells nothing you won't find in a standard Tesco. They're just smaller satellite shops that try to push out smaller convenience stores. They don't have the facilities of Tesco superstores like toilets, cafe, clothing, house wares, electrical etc etc.... But handy for basic needs instead of going on a main shopping outing.

   Only one or two cash tills. Signs need to be placed at eye level for card only tills. Not sure why they dont take cash or card. Need to man the tills more aswel. Other than that the store is good

   A decent store with plenty of aisles which stock most of what you will need. The queues for the tills can be a bit slow if you arrive at a busy period.
