Janet is fantastic and I highly recommend her excellent services. She has been looking after my dogs (and now a bunny!) for the last 10 years. My dogs clearly love her and her updates include the best photos!
Janet has been looking after our timid, elderly cat for nearly ten years, and we truly couldn’t ask for a more dependable and compassionate caregiver. Whether it’s a planned holiday or a last-minute trip (at short notice), Janet always manages to step in and ensure our cat is safe, and well cared for. Our cat is shy by nature and slow to trust, but Janet’s gentle approach and quiet patience gives us complete peace of mind whenever we’re away. Janet also provides regular photos and updates via WhatsApp on each daily visit.
Janet has walked our Golden Retriever for almost all of his 3 year life so far. She really is his ‘Auntie Janet’. Janet’s organisation and communication is exemplary, even when Simba finds a spot of fox poo or a pond to swim in. The photos of the walkies which she posts on FB are genuinely heart-warming, seeing how much fun Simba has had while out with her and the other dogs. Could not recommend Janet’s services any more highly.
Janet is a force of nature and a wonderful dog walker! My dog adores her and is always ready for his next adventure with her.
Barkers (IE Jan) dog walkers walk out Spanish water dog Babs every week day 12:30... Jan is truly incredible; she is the best dog walker we have ever come across, so much so many of my friends wish she covered their address so she could take their dogs out. What is so heart warming is how excited our dog, Babs, is every time she hears Jan's car pull up. Jan is always punctual, communicates brilliantly, and also has the dog's best interests at heart; for example, if it is a hot day she makes sure the dogs are shaded and watered, or she will do an early morning walk if the weather is too hot. Rain, snow or hail doesn't stop Jan which is exemplary! When me and my partner go out walking Babs and happen to run in to Jan on a walk, she is animated, not staring at her phone, throwing the ball endlessly with all the dogs circling round her. Jan is testament to the profession - she isn't like some dog walkers that walk round holding their phone ignoring the dogs! Alongside this, Babs runs straight over to Jan to play with her and her pals if she ever runs in to them. I couldn't recommend Jan enough to walk your dog. I'd give her 10 stars out of 5 if I could!
Jan has been my dog walker for years now. She is absolutely fantastic. Practical, knowledgeable about dog behaviour and body language, and a very skilled dog handler. It’s very easy to set up and call yourself a dog walker nowadays. But Janet is the real deal of someone who genuinely knows what she is doing and knows dogs.
There are not enough stars to give Barkers Pet Services. Jan is the most amazing dog walker I have ever met. Her love and energy with her dogs never ends. She is the most interactive and caring dog walker I have ever had and I would recommend her a million times over. Jasper can't get enough time with his Auntie Jan and buddies. I wish he got that excited when he sees me! Barkers Pet Services are extremely reliable and offer an outstanding service. Jasper always comes home shattered after all their fun and games. Thank you for all that you do and making Jaspers walks extremely enjoyable. X
This is the 3rd time we have had Marley our Labrador stay with Barkers Pet Services. The last 2 times were for 2 week stays but this time we booked him in for 3 weeks. We had absolutely no problem doing this as we were so comfortable and happy with his last 2 stays we knew he would be more than settled. This is a fantastic place for our dog to be and would highly recommend Barkers Pet Services for home boarding. We couldn't imagine putting Marley in kennels as we tried this when he was younger and did nothing but worry about him. They send us regular pictures on whats app of his stay and updates of what he is doing which is great. Marley is 6yrs old and quite a broadly built Labrador. Since being a pup he has always stayed by our side and been quite a nervous dog and is sometimes scared of small dogs and most big dogs. It takes him a while to get used to a new doggy friend but when he finds one he likes he will follow it around and play. We explained all Marley's fears and all things he enjoys to Jan & Liz and this has always been taken on board when walking Marley and taking care of him. We couldn't imagine leaving him anywhere else now and every time we bring him back for a stay even if its been a year since his last one, he jumps out of the car and runs straight in.
