Erick is a great barber here. He's cut my hair multiple times and is very professional, thoughtful and genuinely good. A lovely lad to enjoy a haircut from.

I had a fantastic cut from Eric at Porters. He's a real dude, lovely guy and a top barber. I went in looking for a pretty big change - from long(ish), and pushed back from the forehead to something much shorter and more on trend. He totally got what I was going for and gave me the confidence to do it. I'm almost never happy with haircuts, 9 times out of 10 I go home and start trimming away, but it's 24 hours later and I'm so pleased with this one. Eric smashed it. Definitely seek him out!

Was served by Erick, but to be honest, the whole crew was fantastic. Great cut and shave . Top notch. Erick is a professional and a great conversation. Will be back... many times!

Great friendly service. The hair cut was on point . Even offer refreshments ( water or soft drinks)

It was the worst haircut i've ever had. The barber didn't listen to me or respected what I wanted done to my hair. I used to come here years ago and feel like it's gone downhill ever since. The quality of the cut is poor and the shop feels run-down, and is very messy.

I needed a haircut same day and couldn't go to my usual barber (the Barbery) due to timings, so looking online Porters looked to be the best barber closest to me, and for £32 for a cut I thought it'd be a safe bet. The online booking is pretty easy and I didn't have to wait when I went in. The shop is nicely decked out and staff were nice enough when I went in. I sat in the chair, asked for the same haircut I usually get, fairly standard gents' haircut, took my glasses off and the barber got to work. When I put my glasses on 30 mins later, I thought the haircut looked good from the front, but the back and sides were blended pretty badly, so I pointed this out to the barber and they did a bit more blending - all good I thought. I went home and had another look. My girlfriend pointed out two chunks that had been taken out the back on one side and a jagged, unblended fade on the other. Not really what you expect for a £32 haircut. To my mind getting that right is pretty fundamental to a decent haircut. So I went back and said that it wasn't really what I'd expect. To the barber's credit they were fine about it and did some more blending work, which made it better and said that if I still wasn't happy they'd take a look at it again. But by this point I'd spent 2 hours to get my hair cut I'd say the initial cut was a 1 or 2 star cut, but felt like they handled it well and it's an ok cut now, so giving it a 3 star review. The litmus test however is that I won't be going back and will head back to my regular barber at the Barbery.

My husband recently visited to get his hair cut and I accompanied him on his visit. The shop is in a great location and has a great atmosphere. The staff are warm and welcoming. I had a coffee whilst I waited for my husband. The coffee was great and added a really nice touch. My husband enjoyed his experience at porters and he was really impressed with his haircut. I'm sure he will be making many more trips to Porters in the future. Overall, Porters is a great place with a fantastic atmosphere and first rate customer service.

Having being going to the Dulwich Village Porters for years I was excited to visit their new East Dulwich shop. Firstly the shop design is really cool and the atmosphere is great. I was extremely pleased with my wash+cut and beard trim; my fade is so sharp! What I've found really impressive is the true consistency across their shops. A criticism I think would be common is the price, however what I most value when it comes to my hair/beard/coffee is peace of mind, which is exactly what you get at Porters. You get the whole experience and they only use the best hair products which I'm just starting to get into. The other side of Porters is their coffee. Best around. So so good. I learn more and more about coffee every time I visit. Try their flat white to takeaway or to have in and you'll know what I'm talking about. Don't forget to try their cakes.
