   I did not want to leave this review, but I can’t stand for unprofessionalism. I support Black business but not when there is continuous mediocrity and degenerately poor levels of service. First and foremost who opens a barbershop at 10AM? When your counterparts on the high street are open from 8 in the morning dealing with their customers. Secondly, to add insult to injury. Your customers arrive on time (10am) to find that you haven’t actually opened your doors yet. This is just so ridiculous and unacceptable. Who runs this place and why are you all so unpunctual? Lateness says a lot about character and attitude but also you’re losing crucial business? Are you people being disrespectful on purpose? No one answers the telephone either so you can’t get in touch to ask basic questions which is unfathomable. Do you ppl want money or not!!?? This is when now we start using other people’s services and you will complain that we don’t support black business but the Black business that you are offering your loyal and new customers is beyond asinine. Sort out your timings, open EARLY, be 100% professional, don’t leave customers in the chair for long periods without attending to them, GREET YOUR CUSTOMERS WHEN THEY WALK IN and don’t have a face like a slapped arse, don’t have unnecessary loud telephone calls shouting over customers. This is basic rudimentary customer service !!!! I won’t be surprised if this shop goes into liquidation due to the above issues (N.B. I’m happy to remove this review if and when the service levels change. It’s called new level but should be called rude level).

   I wish that I could give higher ratings, but it’s just not possible. Yes, it is focused on afro hair, which is great, but the hospitality & service at this barber shop is not it. 1. Staff don’t come on time. Customers arrive on time for the store opening, but then the barbers arrive much later than the specific opening time (from my experience once before, 1 hour later). This is unfair to have customers waiting for you, and it also loses you business. 2. They don’t answer their phone. If you’ve got a question to ask, don’t bother calling in, because no one is going to answer anyway. 3. Lack of staff. Having only one barber on shift during busy periods doesn’t really make sense unfortunately. 4. Poor communication / hospitality. They don’t acknowledge you when you come in AND they take smoke breaks too often (after each client), even when it’s busy. Once again, this isn’t fair on your customers, especially when the shop is busy. Hopefully this shop will improve. There is potential, but right now, it’s simply just slacking in so many areas.

   One of the best barbers in the area, it mostly focuses on Afro textured hair but can cut all hair textures in a skilled manor with a great welcoming atmosphere and down to earth feeling, not to mention the skilful haircuts for all hair textures.
