I recently visited this salon to have my nails done, and unfortunately my experience was very uncomfortable. While I was being served, the staff were speaking to each other in another language in a way that made me feel they were talking about me, especially as they were laughing and looking in my direction. After that, the staff began arguing with each other in front of customers, which added to the uncomfortable atmosphere. Overall, the behaviour made me feel disrespected and uneasy, and I would not return based on this experience.

I had a very upsetting experience at this salon. I came in to ask about prices, and the staff member gave my friend and me a quote before starting. Partway through, she suddenly increased the price by £20. When we questioned this, both staff members became rude and aggressive. I also felt that one of the staff members directed a racial slur toward me, which was extremely shocking and unacceptable. Because of the disrespect and the way we were spoken to, we decided to leave. I would not recommend this place based on my experience.

I was disappointed with the hygiene and safety standards at this salon. The technician used a drill on my cuticles, which was not appropriate, and it left my cuticle’s bleeding (see photos) Concerned about the process, I decided to have the acrylics removed halfway through and went elsewhere. The overall atmosphere of the salon wasn’t great and the technician clearly didn’t have the right knowledge/skills to be providing this service. Unfortunately, this experience left me questioning their approach to cleanliness and proper nail care. UPDATE - Three months since my appointment here and my nails have nearly grown out the huge dents caused by this salon - see last photo for reference.

Completely ruined my fingernails and toenails. I got gels and they used the drill to take off layers of my nails. When I got the gel removed they used the drill again and my finger nails have had huge ridges in them for months, I'm still waiting for it to grow out. My toenails have white patches (keratin granulation) because they used the drill so hard and dried them out so much. I will never, ever go back.

I came here a few months ago and had the most aggressive manicure of my life. The man who did my nails was so heavy handed that my nails still have deep ridges in them. Disappointing as the last time I came was great.

Went to Lily's nails for a shellac manicure and regular pedicure, got greeted with unhappy faces. They asked me to pick a colour for my polish and I had a question so as I was walking over to one of the staff I was told "I'm sorry can you just pick a colour?". After that any question I asked about my shellac manicure (e.g coloured tips etc) they said no they can't do it for basically everything, could have explained why or given an alternative..just no. One staff was very helpful and lovely and the three stars are just for him. Wouldn't really recommend sadly.

Local favourite, they’re super technical and efficient. Perhaps not a place to get pampered, but if you want your nails done professionally, these are the guys!

very unprofessional. i’ve been here twice, first time they did a good job but when i went yesterday the lady rushed the whole time and wasn’t very careful. while my nails were drying she checks them and says they are dry and i can leave so i do. i do admit i should’ve been more careful but i smudged three nails so i go back to ask to get them repainted. she kissed her teeth and again was rushing, i was genuinely sorry to be taking up more of her time so i only asked her to redo two of the nails instead of three but she completely messed up one of the nails, looking even worse than the original. i asked for almond shaped nails and she took it literally as you can see in the picture. the place and other workers seem better, i just think she needs to change her customer service and not rush because this results in a poor reflection of the shop.

I went to Lilly's Nails on recommendation as I was flying out to the Caribbean the following day for a wedding and asked for SNS Dipping gel. Not only was the person who did my nails rude (I believe her name was Amy), whenever I asked her questions about the gel colour (as I had never had it done before), she muttered under her breath and then spoke to her colleagues in her language, clearly quite annoyed that I dared to ask a question. Now I can put up with rudeness, if the job at hand is very good, but I have to say my nails were APPALLING. The top coat of the nail varnish started peeling off on Day 2, and by today, which is Day 7 the nail varnish has chipped pretty badly and I have had to get them redone the evening before the wedding. The pictures I attach speak for themselves, DO NOT GO TO LILLY NAILS
