Id like to thank all the team at Clear Start who helped me get my household finances back on track. My account manager helped me set up budgets to manage my income better. She also found some additional benefits I was able to claim for free child care saving me nearly Β£300 per month. I downloaded the Clear Start app and signed up for Open Banking so that Clear Start can breakdown my spending for me and tell me where I could save month. Thanks to Michelle for patiently explaining things to me and to the rest of the customer service team. I feel less stressed and more in control of my household finances now - Thanks Clear Start.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAUGUE! Nothing but a headache, they called me saying they could reduce my debt, said I was in a 'win win situation' then when I read other reviews and cancelled, which i could because I was told I have a 14 day cooling period, a Mr. Asher was rude and extremely angry. The man who i spoke to before Mr. Asher told me to LIE! But I was honest when i spoke to Mr Asher. He didn't even sound surprised! Now I get nuisance calls, another fake company emailing me everyday, more on my plate when I already have more than enough. Scammers! Do not answer your phone unless you know who's ringing.

Would give zero stars if I could. Clear Start has been nothing but disappointing and, in my experience, does not deliver the service they promise. They continue to take monthly fees while breaking their own Terms & Conditions, yet claim theyβve done nothing wrong. Since March 2024 Iβve had no proactive contact from them at all, despite being told I would receive regular updates. The reality is that the solicitors are doing all the actual work, while Clear Start simply take the money. When I raised this issue, there was no apology or accountability β just jargon and excuses. Only after I complained did they finally call me with an βupdate,β something that should have been provided every month as standard. To make matters worse, when you submit a complaint youβre told it will take up to 8 weeks to even be dealt with. That is completely unacceptable for a company that is supposed to be supporting people in already difficult circumstances. Reading other reviews, I can see I am far from alone in this experience. Their customer service is extremely poor, and the staff appear to lack the training needed to deal with clients fairly and respectfully. Clear Start urgently needs to revisit their Terms & Conditions, as they do not follow them. Times are hard enough without a company taking money each month for a service they are not providing. If my complaint is not resolved properly, I will have no choice but to escalate matters further in writing. I would strongly advise others to think carefully before using this company.

I have been with clear start for over a year now, I have found them so helpful every time I speak to them, they stay in contact regular and are always happy to help. I had a big issue today with one of my accounts and Nashim was so helpful, he helped me get through to the support team of the account we was dealing with, and helped me resolve the issues and set up a repayment plan after we have been trying to do this via email for nearly a year and not getting a resolution. We finally did, I had to leave the call but on my behalf he finished the conversation and finalised everything for me. Not only that he gave me a courtesy call later just to reconfirm everything and make sure I was clear on everything. I have always had good service but today Nashim went above and beyond and he is a credit to the company.

Totally unprofessional, I called and cancelled my service within the 14 day cooling off period and I am still being harassed multiple times a day via email, text and phone calls wanting me to provide ID verification for a service I no longer want, need and have already cancelled. If this company was a person they would be behind bars for stalking.

I have been with clear start for 7 months now and no effort has been made to help pay off my debt, but for me to pay close to Β£400 a month for their βservicesβ. Now I am forced to seek legal action which luckily is available to me. I would warn anyone looking for help to avoid this company.

What an awful service they don't stop creditors from contacting you at all I have had to do half the work for them. I contacted my creditors my self to find they had not even made contact with any of them though they claim they have and they have letters from them very questionable I would say, not to mention you have to put standing orders on your own bank account to your own creditors while they can continue to take your money basically they do nothing your paying them for nothing when I complained the gentleman called me back from the complaints team was rude had no time to listen to my complaint what so ever the only decent thing out all of it is they cancelled my account with no charge get this they wanted me to pay them 120 pounds to leave. Free advice make arrangements with your creditors directly or better still if you feel you can't do that use payplan or step change both of which have no charges plus they pay every penny of your money to the creditors

My extremely vulnerable friend pays you Β£195 a month and you can't even give him a phone call back, pretty sure it isn't his job to phone you constantly to be told someone will get back to him and none of you have! Just because you're a legal team doesn't make you exempt from your responsibilities. I will be guiding him to escalate this matter to your governing bodies with urgency.

Firstly they do not stop the letters from debt collectors, also no interest is stopped Also they want 120pound for the first 3 months and nothing of that goes to ur debt. Then they want 40 pounds a month for doing nothing. As you have to set all the standing orders up urself. Go for an iva instead... this isn't worth ur money. Ps they keep phoning all the time.
