After four years in another accounting company, with which I was not very dissatisfied, a friend recommended Fair View Accounting & Tax Services Ltd. Now I am very happy, they are very good professionals, they help me with all the doubts and problems that I have. I recommend it to everyone, they are very friendly . Thank you
I obtained an accountant from fair view accounting because my girlfriend and I are applying for a visa so that she can come to the Uk with me, Part of this was to have my accountants confirmed by an accountant. I paid extra as he said he needed to do my return also, I told him I had already done it but he said he needs to, so we proceeded with this and he informs me, I will receive a refund of £1700, I made it clear to him I had already received £2600 refund so I asked, “will I owe money or is this a refund”, he said “no, this is a refund of £1700”, he was not clear at all so I was lead to believe I was getting another refund of £1700. He eventually finishes everything and asks me to meet him half way between Liverpool and Manchester at 5:15pm, I left work early to arrive on time and he was 30 minutes late, he asked me to pay him cash, I paid him he went through it with me and only showed the refund amount of £1700, he didn’t show me any papers with £950 or my original refund, so to me it all looked fine and as he said. Later that night I receive a email from him saying, you did not tell me you had already received a refund so you now owe £950, I was shocked as this was one on the main things that I made clear to him before we done this process, I believe that he knew this but also knew that I would not be using his services and I would find another accountant to ensure it is done properly, I find it strange I was asked to pay cash in hand and once I had paid, he then tells me I owe money, surely he would have knew this before giving me the finalised paperwork because it would have came up on the system and he would have had papers to print, why where those papers not printed or at least why was I not told in the meeting. I then received a email from my immigrations solicitar saying that’s because it is so close to the end of the tax year you may want to submit 2019/2020 self assessment not 2018/2019 and as 2018/2019 was the one he had done I then asked him for a refund as he mislead me information but he ignored me, I then told him I need 2019/2020 now and asked if he could do this for me, free of charge as the last one he made mistakes which lead to confusion and misleading promises, conveniently he is away throughout the whole of April so he can not do my accounts for 2019/2020... I mentioned to him that I need my self assessment printed out and he said to me in the meeting that he would continue to give me support with what I need, I needed him to send my new calculations as he didn’t give me them in the meeting, as I explained and he has ignored me. Terrible service and very unprofessional.
