   Wilkins Vardy were helpful in arranging viewings with the Seller. However I believe as we were Buyers, and therefore not WV’s clients, they hardly interacted with us once the offer had been accepted. This may have also been the case due to the Seller actually being an employee of Wilkins Vardy. Is this perhaps a Conflict of Interest? The name of their representative (provided on the Memorabdum of Sale) who we could contact assisting with the property in question actually never contacted us once, and when I tried emailing the rep. direct, emails were bounced back. Every time I contacted their generic email (as the one initially provided didn’t work), a different member of staff replied every time, including the Seller emailing us directly at times, which I thought completely defeated the point of having estate agents instructed. When emailing to ask the agents to chase the other side, my emails were not responded to, which I did not appreciate. When we collected the keys the person covering reception did not know where the keys were stored and apologised that she didn’t know what she was doing - while I appreciate an apology it seemed very unprofessional especially when we had been told to call at the office to collect the keys (believing everything would have been ready for us). Again all of this may be because we weren’t actually WV’s clients, but they sent me an email asking to review their services which I believe I have done as honestly as I can. Not a bad service, just not one I can give 5* for.

   I'd like to think Wilkins Vardy for the excellent service we received whilst selling our property. The service was first class, nothing was too much trouble, and the communication between all parties was extremely professional. I would certainly recommend them for any future sales or purchase.

   WV were excellent in promoting my house sale with regular updates and advice, which regarding pricing and marketing was in line with my own ideas and expectations. I was always confident they would sell my house which they did to my satisfaction, so I had no issues.

   We wanted to purchase a house in Brimington ( my sister Jay Judge , and my autistic daughter) we found the most lovely little cottage house . It was a dream house to us . We offered the price wanted for the house knowing it needed a new roof . We were told we had to sell our home first , in November, we put our house on the market , two weeks ago in March we sold our house , the dream house, was still available. My daughter had been looking at this house on line everyday, for weeks and saving her money buying items for her new room. So we made another offer and was told no , to cut the long story short we were then told there’s no way the vender would sell to us because we have dogs , and rabbits . ( she lives next door . ) Apparently the vendor told the estate agent this in November but they weren’t honest about it with us, rabbits might attract rats ! And our dogs may bark . If you had been honest from the beginning , we could have told you that we have not had currently got rats and haven’t had any sign of rats or ever had rats . Our dogs may bark and has been under training so they don’t bark again this could have been explained , we could have also looked at other properties that may have been suitable . Instead this company failed to tell us the truth . Not only have they failed to act honourably , they have left my autistic daughter distressed and feeling like she wants to self harm and feels that because we acted honestly we should have been treated the same way , which sadly we weren’t .

   I was impressed by the staff from Wilkins Vardy from the outset. Each member of staff is very professional and plays their specific role in the journey from the valuation to sale completion. I chose Wilkins Vardy over other agents because they demonstrated their diligent by researching the property prior to visiting for the valuation and this attention continued right through to completion. I was delighted with the service they offered and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a truly professional agent who offers a personal touch and excellent communication and support throughout.

   They did not keep us updated on the progress of the sale and I had to chase them several times for information. I ended up conversing directly with the buyer to chase his solicitor and progress things. They also initially listed the property on rightmove as a 3 bedroom house when it was 4. We did not have the opportunity to proof read the advert before publication.

   Wilkins Vardy were professional at all times, from initial appointment through to completion of the sale. The process took some time, but the agents were supportive at all times, and demonstrated excellent knowledge of the area in which we were selling. They communicated through various means to keep us updated. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.
