Very slow service in here. I felt I’d totally interrupted the staffs talk about how they’d love to collect tea sets and what their favourite mug to drink out of. They didn’t even realise they had a customer waiting to be seen. I thought they were there to help their customers, not decide which was the best mug to drink out of. Maybe it’s me and I haven’t cottoned onto that customer service really isn’t that important anymore. I hope they decided what was the best mug was to drink out of and that the blue haired lady finally got her dream come true of collecting tea sets. And yes that is sarcasm. Will travel further in future to a pharmacy that perhaps remembers that old fashioned concept of good customer service.

The first time I got a GP prescription, this pharmacy told me that they did not have the medication on stock, would not order it, and I had to go and find another pharmacy that stocks the product. Today, I got a medication subscribed through private insurance. The pharmacist first fully refused to assist. Even though the page clearly stated that any pharmacy can access the prescription, she insisted that only the below listed delivery pharmacy would be able to help. Then, her colleague said that they needed to register on the website, and that would take several days. None of these statements were true; the pharmacist just needed to confirm the NHS email address. As at this point they had no further excuses, as a final slap in the face, I was told that the pharmacists were on lunch break, and no one would be able to confirm the NHS email address. While I had this discussion, I could hear one of the women in the back asking her colleague in a very nasty tone, "What does she want?!" OMG, my medication, what else?! There was an elderly woman as well. She was sent away with the comment to go back in an hour. She explained that she would not be able to make this distance again, to which the woman at the counter just walked away.

Never pick up the phone, been calling for weeks and just rings out, no one wants to travel to just ask if prescriptions are ready? Which they usually are not, even thou have a text to say will be ready after a certain date, never been ready once, never got through on the telephone to find this out before going down, never collect till after the date they have advised and still not done, when go in

Very slow service at this branch, went twice today, first time to get some painkillers, second time for a flu jab. Both times I had to wait at least 15 mines in a queue, even though there were only 2/3 people infront of me. It seems like it’s around 10mins per customer, most of it is waiting for them to get prescriptions, for some reason it takes them all that time to find something from the rows of bags hanging up, are these not in name order, so that you can find them quickly? All customers in the queue were turning around muttering to each other about the dreadful service, and how long they’d be waiting, I felt embarrassed on their behalf! Not sure who is in charge, but I felt sorry for the staff, particularly the guy doing most of the serving (with dread locks), he’s a nice guy, but the team leader needs to get some kind of organisation going, or try to speed up the process, because it really isn’t good enough, we just want to say our name, and then you bring us the prescriptions in a timely manner. Although this wasn’t what I went there for, it is the reason I was waiting so long to be served. As a side note, when I booked my flu jab, there were so many appointments available for this day, literally 3/4 appointments every hour of the day, but then my appointment was 11, I went in to have it around 11:20? No idea why they’re so behind, when there’s so many appointed available? I see there’s plenty of other one star reviews on here, hopefully someone high up reads this and does something about it.

Communication between upstairs Doctors Practice and Rowlands is obviously not on the same page. ie: Dr informs patient that your prescription has been sent downstairs for collection later today. Rowlands say they can take up to 3 days even for 'not unusual' prescription medication. Upon entering the shop even though you've been visually seen, it's usual to wait for the staff to finish personal chatting between themselves before being served...and then they are seemingly annoyed they've been interrupted by a customer and consequently can be very curt and abrupt. It might be a pharmacy that's in a convenient spot but not with this low level of service. So many people have had the same experience and said to go to Lloyds. Om..goodness..what a difference. Polite smiling, efficient and fast staff. Maybe you need a secret shopper Rowlands.. experience it for yourself.

I order repeat prescriptions once a month. The pharmacy usually take a couple of days to order and receive the item. After doing this a couple of time I have found that collection is usually late. No one answers the phone so I have to go down. Then after complaining I was added to a text message service. However, I have found that even though the text suggest to go in on a certain date and usually after 3pm, that my medicine was out of stock!!! Infuriating!
