   I’m so glad it’s still there. I went there in the mid 70s with my grandparents and I remember it as if it were yesterday. The production was a double bill of ‘Sweeney Todd’ and ‘ Mariah Martin in the Red Barn’ . It was very atmospheric and pretty amazing! So a review from 50 years ago!

   I recently had the pleasure of attending a performance at the Harlequin Puppet Theatre, and it was incredible from start to finish. The theatre itself is a charming and welcoming space - perfect to draw you in. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, ensuring that everyone felt comfortable and well-cared-for. Cannot recommend this place enough!

   This is one of the most magical experiences I have ever encountered. I highly recommend anyone book and go to a performance - it is fabulous for everyone both young and old. My 3 & 4 year olds both turned to me and said ‘mummy I just love this’. Chris your show is incredible and so endearing - we can’t wait to visit again, you and the magic you create in your theatre is a beautiful masterpiece like no other. Thanks so much for having us :)

   What a great "old fashoned" entertainment experience. The show, split into 3 parts: 1. Marionette drama- the gooseberry mandarin. 2. Magic show. 3. Marionette cabaret.....all performed with great skill and charm by Chris. Absolutely charming for children of all ages.

   A beautiful historical site the first built purposeful puppet theatre - it’s a pity it was shut - though they was someone in the office you could see but they did not say much to you even though we knocked on the door - quite eerie but I’m sure if open would be great to see some of the productions

   What a find! Me, my husband and our 4 year old absolutely loved the show - puppets, magic tricks and an ice cream interval what's not to like! Chris is such a lovely man, he's fantastic with the little ones and runs the whole place single handed. You should be very proud. We will definitely be back and will be telling everyone about you!
