I just spoke to one of the lady's on reception. She was rude on how she spoke to me .Waited 20 minutes on the first call for them to say they they couldn't find my mom's new prescription. After confirming with the doctors they did send it over to them. Then waited another 30 minutes only to be spoken to by a very rude receptionist.Took forever for her to again find my mom's prescription and didn't even tell me I was going to be put on hold yet again. She was very abrupt and dismissive with me I will now change this pharmacy.I wasnt even going to give them 1 star after the way the receptionist just spoke to me.Very RUDE! AVOID this pharmacy at all costs.

Arrived at 9 for my appointment to find it still closed. Had a bit of a panic as it says 10 on the door - double checked my paperwork and I was correct - waited untill 9.10 when the door was finally opened. Had a friend waiting to give me a lift home but by 9.45 I had to tell her to go. I was told the appointments can take up to 40 mins so I was still within that time frame. However I wasn’t actually seen untill 10.15- computer wasn’t working. Many people left. Everyone being asked personal details in the tiny reception area made me uncomfortable. I would never choose to come to this optician’s again. The lady doing the test was nice but lack of privacy and organisation was awful.

Had my appointment at this place, was not happy at all. 1st and foremost the place is very very small, no privacy in terms of speaking with receptionist all details are being heard with other patients. 2nd I was seen 50 mins past my actual appointment time. Wasn’t informed that they’re is a delay or an emergency occurred. They had no system in place. Unfortunately that day was a hot day and there was no fan no windows open no air con. Will not be using this location again for any further appointments.

I visited the optician side of this place for an eye appointment. I found the service to be very friendly and efficient, particularly from Adele, who performed my tests. I didn't use the pharmacy itself, so I can't really comment on that part of it. There is very easy parking either in the car park at the front, or the side road literally right by it, so no there's no extra stress with that.

My Dad attended an appointment this morning for a diabetes screening. He had drops administered in the waiting room and was told the optician had not yet arrived. The drops last for 15 mins and in this time the optician still hadn't arrived. When asking reception they advised at 9.05 he would be there in 5 mins but at 9.35 he still hadn't arrived. My Dad chose to leave and book another appointment elsewhere resulting in another day off work. However he did receive a call back at 10am advising the optician was now there and he should come back. This is a terrible service on part of the optician who should respect the time of their patients of be honest regarding the time of their arrival. I understand there are circumstances people can be late however to not provide an up to date ETA is not good service. This also meant my dad having drops which affect his sight for most of the day unnecessarily.

Firstly, I would like to thank the staff for all their time & patience over the past few years . Everyone goes through hell with covid , & other problems, it’s not fare for other people to swear & call them names , their human , they have feelings & if it was not for them working long hours we would not be getting our medications, so what if they don’t have your item in stock it can be got but takes time, there all fantastic up there so stop slagging them off, if you don’t like it there change.. there doing a great job not everyone sees that but I do & I respect them for it well done portway pharmacy keep the good work up

Terrible service . Advertises no appointments necessary, walk in covid boosters . My wife and I walked in . Nobody in front of us . About 5 mins later about 6 people came in with appointments and they were going in before us. Now if people kept coming in with appointments we would have been kept there for who knows how long .....so we left . Terrible organisation

Terrible service! As a single mother of two young children isolating at home with a chest infection I desperately needed my medication. This pharmacy refused to deliver it to my home address as they were 'short staffed'. There was no other way of me getting my medication, they are rude and have no empathy towards their customers. It'd be best of they just closed down.
