Where was this kind of thing when I was a kid? Seriously? A three day, two night residential theatre camp? Complete with activities, meals, dorms, camp fire and more…BEFORE we even talk about the Theatre side of things. This is a GREAT camp for any child, not just theatre kids. It teaches them experiences and lessons that they wouldn’t get anywhere else. I was lucky enough to be a leader on a couple of these camps, and I have to say, seeing the little nervous and unsure faces on the morning of day one, to the beaming smiles and happy tears at the end of the last day (me included). Memories that will last a lifetime. Lessons and development that again, isn’t available in other places. There were kids who just outright didn’t want to perform, which is of course absolutely fine…but then…they got support, and encouragement…not from the adults…no…but from the other kids that they’d JUST MET…the bond is unbreakable over the weekend and I can NOT recommend it enough. Don’t believe me? Read the other reviews. See the amount of people who return year after year, bringing siblings and friends along because they love it so much. It really is hard to explain how good of an experience this is, but I can say, I am jealous and a little upset that we didn’t get this sort of thing when I was a kid. Now, take centre stage!! Hopefully see you all next time! -Danny! X

My daughter has just got back from an amazing camp. She loved every moment. Such an inclusive and friendly group of staff and students. Had the pleasure of watching the performance at the end of the camp and amazed at how much you achieved with the children in such a short period of time. So many activities and quality performance at the end.

My granddaughter had an absolutely fantastic time at the camp. Staff are friendly and welcoming. What they accomplish in the 3 days is amazing. She is already talking about next years camp. Would highly recommend for your theatre loving children.

My son attended for the first time last year. He loved every minute. He learnt so much and made new friends. I was amazed watching the performance considering the little time they had to put it together. So professional. Would highly recommend. The team were excellent so supportive.

My 12 year old Verity recently attended the Theatre Camp. She did not know anyone else prior to going and was a bit apprehensive. She absolutely loved it. She made friends quickly and didn't want it to end. She even shed a tear when we left Doncaster. Dance is her expertise so it was good for her to do some singing and acting outside her comfort zone. We loved watching the show which considering the amount of time to put together was enjoyable and you could sense the enthusiasm from all the kids and staff. I would really recommend to any young budding entertainer!

My daughter Lottie went to Centre Stage theatre camp for the first time this year. I was a little nervous about her being away from home with complete strangers, but I needn’t have been concerned as she had an absolutely amazing time and came home with so many friends (the group chat hasn’t stopped pinging!) It’s an incredible achievement to put together a show in a few days and huge credit to how hard the young people and Centre Stage team work that they manage to pull a really enjoyable performance together where everyone gets a chance to shine. But I think the true magic of Centre Stage is that they can take a group of kids who don’t know each other and put on such a packed and fun filled programme of workshops, campfires, silent discos (a huge favourite) that everyone bonds and has a fantastic experience from start to finish - can’t be easy with a bunch of tired teens! Lottie literally did not have a negative word to say about the whole experience. Hopefully I’ll be able to get her to take her Centre Stage tshirt off for long enough to give it a wash before next year’s camp!

I have attended Centre Stage all three years it has been open and it is the highlight of my summer. Its always so fun and enticing and every year there is something new and new people to make friends with. Personally, I struggle with my confidence but everyone at Centre Stage make it so easy to become confident and comfortable with each other. It's such a great experience for everyone and anyone who has the opportunity to go should definatly come next year. Every year the camp gets better, I'm looking forward to next year.
