   Wickes used to be a really good store, specially for trade customers. Unfortunately, it seems to have declined in that area recently. That said, the web team still does a decent job

   Like many in the area, I have used Wickes for several decades and invariably found the store well stocked and the staff helpful. However, I was very disappointed when visiting the store last week by the checkout experience. The shop was quiet, no customers waiting at the tills, and no operators to serve them. Eventually an assistant 'noticed' me and just said "Yup", while carrying on a conversation with two other members of staff nearby. My item was scanned, payment taken, and a receipt handed to me. But there was nothing said and no eye contact made, I mumbled a subdued thank you and walked out. I appreciate this might sound a little petty on my part, but it left a bad feeling in me to the extent that I felt completed to make a comment. I'm sure that is not the sort of service Wickes would aspire to, and I hope you don't mind me making a point here. I shall be back, and hope my next experience is a little less cold. Thank you. MB

   Local wickes always had the thing i need, purchased shingle, wood, toilets, baths, paint, electrical appliances, cable and even ppe from here, prices are great and the stock is usually good. A great place to get things for home DIY projects and house refurbishments. Nice to get inspiration for bathrooms and kitchens too. Loads of free parking outside

   Wickes Ruislip is located Victoria Road, Ruislip HA4 0QB We normally go to B&Q but gave Wickes a try , mistake... Very easy and close parking, suitable for wheelchair access through out the store. However , you can expect rude unhelpful staff and with very high prices. We were looking to buy some fire logs for our multi fuel fire . Wickes advertised a good range but come with a very high price tag. A large bags ( 20 logs ) cost £30. The same logs can be brought for £9.50 else where . We didn't buy the logs from Wickes. The customer service was very poor , as we approached to check out the staff member was in depth conversation with another staff member about Xmas . So we were clear not important. In fact, the only words she said was the (amount owed and want a bag ) no greeting , no thank you , no interaction. We politely said thank you/ goodbye which was completely ignored . Would never go back!

   Excellent today. Found what I needed, good price, good service. Staff was sensitive and responsive, as soon as they saw the queue was longer, mote staff came to serve at the tills. Very pleased.

   Had a click and collect order from this store, picked the deliver to car option on arrival, only to find that there's a 5 minute timer before you have to go into the store to collect instead. There were plenty of staff on hand - why advertise this service when the staff don't actually perform it?

   Staff is good Ruislip Victoria road but the policies are dodgy. If I bought any item from Wickes with 3 years warranty how could they ask customer to claim warranty from the product's company itself. What is the point of selling multiple brands under the same roof. Either these people should keep product from Wickes or should provide comprehensive warranty of all items. Really bad after sale service experience.

   Wickes fitted our bathroom 2 years ago. For the last 10 months we have been trying to claim these growing gaps in our tiles. Wickes esse tilly ignored all of our guarantee claims up u till the moment when the guarantee was expiring. Wickes told us they wouldn't fix it because it is a damp wall. Of course the wall is damp because of the great big gap in the tiles. Previous bathroom had no issue like this. Will always recommend you go elsewhere than Wickes.

   Some staff are useless but management are much more knowledgeable and helpful. Usually well stocked and organised and quick service through the checkout. The kitchen installation team are quite efficient and the items aren't ridiculously expensive either. Not bad.
