Amazing place with some lovely staff, went in today to see about downsizing a bracelet I recently bought from here and the ladies were so helpful and understanding. I would definitely recommend this store as prices are fair, they have a great selection of jewellery and the staff truly make you feel like one of the family
Told by them my jewellery was not real then went a shop in the same town minutes later and got good money for my items.... if im honest felt like I was judged, soon as I walked through the door and then to be told my items were fake or not stamped and made to feel like i was a charlatan out on the con, when the next shop I went to completely different and welcomed me with a bit more professionalism and actually give me the time of day and i left with what I was after. This gaff not so much, rather unprofessional and felt judged from the moment I walked in.
Ive shopped here, me and my mother over the years and really liked buying jewellery from this shop. But recently I've had a very DISSAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE! I decided to sell my jewellery to this store for £400.90 that was the price they agreed and I accepted there offer. Money was given in a envelope and I assumed it was the full amount. I didn't open the envelope to count it back in the shop because I trusted the staff ( SILLY MISTAKE) when my mum checked the envelope infront of me there was only £400, with no receipt. A member of staff had said they dont give receipts. When I contacted the shop to report my issue I was told the full amount was given. I was told I can check the cctv I agreed. But I was only shown part of the footage, when asked to view the rest I was dismissed by the owner of shop. Who is also the manager. Who had a very bad attitude & bullying behaviour. He commented I will ring the police so I did him the favour and reported the incident. Money was flung over the counter the remaining £90 and I was told to never come back. I felt considering my mother had spent alot of money over the years in buying jewellery from his shop that the situation could have been resolved in a better manner. I felt very upset to be made out that I'm dishonest infront of my mother, by the manager and staff, the way the situation was handled with NO dignity, very unprofessional and very upsetting for me. He embarrassed himself and his staff all for not taking no accountability. One staff member who wasn't there at the time I was selling my gold made a comment BUT YOU DID GET YOUR MONEY! In my situation there was just far two many red flags. And I was trying to discuss the facts and come to some resolution. But they all went against me. Including manager & staff in the way he behaved was shocking which said alot to me about TN POWELL being a long standing customer counts for nothing. I felt very annoyed for my mother to witness such bad behaviour considering she wasn't well. He did tell me not to come back again after this incident how he could think I would want to shop there again is bizzare!!! Wouldn't trust him or his staff again. To anyone who chooses to shop at this jewellery shop PLEASE check your money even if the money is counted infront of you and take a receipt. Because they will not accept liability. Even though a genuine mistake was made they will not accept fault. I hope staff members and management takes this as constructive feedback and improves how they deal with customers concerns in the future.
Very good service. Got good price for some gold I brought in and got a fair price for some repairs I needed. Definitely would recommend.

Managed to get what my wife was looking for in the shop and at a very good price a week before Christmas. Wanted more stuff and thankfully their website had a great range, delivered the next day. Brilliant customer service, very pleasant and helpful.
