A few days ago, I went to your site just for a look as I often do, and I saw this ring. I could not have been more thankful for how smoothly everything went for me. I had lots of questions and always got a speedy reply despite being across the pond with an 8 hour time difference. I even decided to change my shipping location to a store pickup instead of my home (just for security) and Hannah and her team were so accommodating. Knowing my address, she looked up what the closest FedEx store was to me.
My package was nearly & securely packed. It was wrapped beautifully, and my ring came in a pretty little box. They even included a polishing rag for free! My ring fit perfectly, and I was elated to put it on! The stones are beautifully cut and have an amazing sparkle, the gold was polished. Not a single scratch to be found! Had it not been for the listing I would have had no idea the ring was over 100 years old. This is a piece I will cherish forever and hope to be able to pass down to my kids. The photos don’t do it justice, it’s even prettier in person.

I would like to suggest any supplier who deals with Alex Alfieri of Butter Lane Antiques to conduct full due diligence and consider taking payment insurance if you do decide to work with him. I advise extreme caution with issuing him any credit.
If you are a potential landlord of Mr Alfieri please speak to Gascoigne Halman of Sale to obtain a wider reference of his behaviour in relationship to lack of payment of bills, damage to property, breaking of multiple terms of tenancy and unauthorised removal of a television. Not only this but Alex saw it appropriate to drill irreparable holes in a brand new multi-thousand pound stone worktop and install a fence in the garden for a dog that he snuck in to the property on day one despite us requesting no animals.
This review is written against Butter Lane Antiques as Alex has used his work address as his forwarding address, unwilling to give his new personal address and used his income from Butter Lane Antiques and accountant to justify his ability to pay bills.
Photos attached that show you how much Alex cares about other people's property. Alex said he would repair damage to the property before he left but this was the state he left it in for us to rectify.

I would recommend that you do not deal with Alex Alfieri, however if you must, please proceed with caution and ensure that you do not extend him any credit under any circumstances.
If you are a prospective landlord, please speak to Gascoigne Halman, Sale before proceeding for a full and detailed reference regarding non-payment of rent, damage to property and numerous lease breaches. A TV that did not belong to him has also been removed from the property and not returned.

I have purchased two nice quality items from Butter Lane Antiques and received them. They have a buyer with an exceptional eye. They also take very nice photos for social media. I was very impressed with their selection and hoped to become a regular customer. At this point I’m doubtful I will ever try to purchase from them again. Yes, I received the items I purchased and they were as advertised. However both buying experiences were extremely unpleasant. I believe that buying nice jewelry should be an enjoyable experience. I buy from high end antique dealers regularly and the level of service at Butter Lane is not where it needs to be for the quality of merchandise they sell. I had communications with both Monty and Alex and both were unprofessional and terribly flakey. I was left to feel uneasy and unsure I would even receive my purchases at all, this is not a fun way to feel when spending money. During the time period that my messages were going unanswered, for days and weeks, Butter Lane was still posting new items regularly on social media. I love the jewelry, but they need to learn professional and prompt communication skills or hire someone else who can communicate properly with their customers. I have read their past reviews and sadly see the poor communication issue is not new.
