Suchita was very helpful. She explained everything with plenty detail. Made my dram kitchen come true. 5 stars!

Products are no different from what you get from toolstation, but normally more expensive. The customer service experience is still very bad here , especially if your own with children- unhelpful, lack any form empathy, it's like dealing with robots and checking out is painfully slow.

Every time I use this store I vow never again. They never have what I want no matter how basic. Half an aisle for bathroom sealants and no paint thinners. Tried to buy a small tin of varnish, nope only huge ones. Stupid till layout which blocks the main thoroughfare the moment more than 2 people are waiting. Basically anything you 100% that as a hardware store they will definitely have, they won't. I always leave hoping they go bust and a B&Q opens.

I booked a kitchen design appointment at Wickes Borehamwood with design consultant Paul H. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. From the outset, Paul made it clear through his comments and attitude that he didn’t want to be there. What I initially thought was banter quickly became apparent as a lack of interest in our custom. He was dismissive and brash when we discussed the styles and features we were interested in. When we finally sat down, he informed us there would be no actual designing done during this visit. I provided straightforward measurements for a simple rectangular kitchen, but he responded in an unnecessarily irritated manner, calling them “extremely vague.” You would think a blank canvas would be ideal for a design consultant, but sadly, that wasn’t the case. Unfortunately, we had to leave the appointment early despite our initial excitement to design our dream kitchen. Paul could certainly benefit from some customer service training.

Everyone was extremely helpful and understanding. Even when dealing with a damaged item, the manager dealt with it efficiently and with care. Highly recommend!

Much more choice of goods now since they had a re- vamp, especially on the decorating side, real wide variety of paint, tools and essentials, also good for all sorts of cleaning products and tools, alongside all the usual wickes products.

Vast improvement to the site. Much more stock and improved space. Labels everywhere it's great. BUT what's happening with staff on a Saturday??? Poor girl behind the till and over 15 customers waiting to pay, young lad running ragged trying to help as many as he could and a lazy ar** out the back trying to look busy and not helping anyone but avoiding everybody. 30/4/22 not helpful at all

Rude Staff. Endless queues! Queried the price when I got to till as wasn't what was written on the shelf I picked it up from. Rather than answer my polite query the lady just kept repeating the price. To every question I asked! Over and over. So I left put the wood in the car and went back to check the price and just as I thought it was completely the wrong item. Didn't have time to return as now late for job and queue had 10 people now! Train your staff! Or don't actually, I'm not coming back!

Fantastic store for all your DIY needs. Its even better since it was redesigned and is easier to find what you need. The car park is large and easy to navigate. The staff are helpful and have a good knowledge.
