I can highly recommend this booking service following our recent rental of a property and day boat in Horning on the Norfolk Broads. Excellent communication throughout and we had an enjoyable week with friends.
What an amazing property High Meadow is, only two of us visited so we rattled around this rather large house and almost got lost in the garden. Fishing was great even a bit hectic at times and the weather was fantastic for time of year. You can tell the owner if I win the lottery to expect a substantial offer for the purchase of a peace of paradise. Would love to come back but at 76, ones never sure at what lies ahead. Thank you again.
A lovely chalet and absolutely perfect for ourselves as, due to injuries, we could not go far. Had everything we needed and very close to the shops so that we could get supplies. As you can see from the photo the next to last day was a bit wet!! If I could just make one small suggestion- a small shelf in the main shower room would be very handy.
Very helpful and nice owners, but they are being taken for a ride by so called cleaners, we had to go out and buy bleach for toilets, which were black in bottom, also, both toilet seats needed replacing as they were brown underneath. Also, found an old hairbrush under one of the sofas, plus lots of crumbs. The sofa hadn't been moved although they easily pulled out on wheels, and on the hardwood floor. The kitchen area plus oven were clean. And very good beds. We Wouldn't use Riverside Rentals again, one more reason is "had to leave by 9am" due to cleaners needing to clean, what a joke!
We loved the location of this cottage in the marina, on the first morning I was greeted by a heron and had pigeons and ducks also visiting to eat the seed I put out, very quiet, peaceful and relaxing. The cottage itself is good, bigger than it appears in the advert, no extras like soap/towels, quite basic in comparison to others we have stayed in (sofa not great, poor quality television). Overall though would recommend, we personally would choose to stay on the main river in future for more to see. We hired a boat through Riverside rentals for the week which really made the holiday for us, it was a fantastic way to explore the broads, would highly recommend.
Had a lovely break at Royal retreat . Weather great for november . Had to sort back garden out loads of pumpkins crawling with insects. Chairs and tables bbqs needed clearing. Beds very comfy and sofas . Light coloured carpets very stained. Spoke to cleaners about it . The cooker needs replaceing the oven is to low to see how things are cooking . Older people would have a problem. But saying all this fishing was great and we have stayed at the Royal 4 times and will return . Staff at riverside rentals are great .
Stayed at Grove Farm Barns late Oct 22 in the Fennel. Inside there was everything we needed as an adult party, good showers, heating when needed, and living facilities. Outside there are relaxing areas with benches for enjoying the abundant wildlife. Great little fishing pond/lake across the road with carp to 5lb and very nice silvers giving good sport. Great centrally located area to discover and visit popular broads villages a few miles away, walking routes are also well signed around the local rivers that connect the broads. Well worth it and value for money.
Great break and the perfect location. Everything you need! Looks small on the outside but loads of space inside! Hired Tilly Jane as part of the package. Big shout out to Richard to handled the boat side of things and was brilliant. Everyone I dealt with at RR was also very professional. Will book again!
This is our third visit to Waters Edge. Such a lovely relaxing time we have here. There are plenty of walks, day boat hire is just a stone's throw away. For provisions you have Lathams. There are two restaurants, a pub and fish & chip shop nearby. The cottage is well maintained and Riverside Rentals staff are pleasant and accommodating if any problems arise. The cottage is centrally based, with Wroxham, Honing, Ludham just 15 minutes away by car. The cottage has dedicated parking that is located next to the Fish & Chip shop, just 2 minutes walk.
Firstly the service from Riverside Rentals during the Covid related lockdowns was brilliant, the postponed holiday arrangements were dealt with quickly & efficiently. The cottage is well located near the local facilities & is spacious, well presented, clean & very comfortable. Be prepared for the trek down the track & over the bridge, we were overloaded but had taken a barrow with us & there is a trolley thoughtfully provided by the owners. Met the lovely owners who reacted quickly when we pointed out that the wheel on the trolley was broken. Would happily stay there again.
