   Very nice little park

   It's credit to the house builders (Taylor Wimpey) that they created an open space like this in the middle of the development. They could have built 100 more houses instead and maximise profits. (Unless they were mandated to provide the park by Wigan Council of course) Anyways, the park....There's a large open grassy area to play football, catch, cricket or just run around...whatever kids like doing these days. It's popular with dog walkers as well. In the middle is a dedicated children's play area with a soft floor, swings, slides, roundabout - just the normal stuff. It's fenced off to prevent very young kids wandering off and it's enclosed by a tall hedge so the families there can have some privacy. It's a modern take on the traditional kids playground and a great example of one (Rather small though but I guess it's there to serve the kids on the housing development not the whole west side of Leigh)
