Myself and 4 friends have just returned from a brilliant weekend break with Palmer Holidays - the "Thursford Christmas Spectacular". What a great weekend from start to finish. The Sprowston Manor Hotel was excellent from the lovely rooms, the Christmas decorations, the excellent meals and the very friendly and attentive staff who went out of their way to make our stay perfect. The show was great and we enjoyed our time in Lincoln and Norwich but would have liked a little more time in Stamford to look around. One slight criticism is the time waiting for the taxis when we got back to Wakefield which needs sorting with the taxi firm. Last but certainly not least, a big thank you to our driver Andy who was very cheerful, helpful and informative - thank you Andy.

An expensive disappointment for our holiday to Sidmouth. NO LUXURY COACH but a contract Red Rose 10-year old coach with sign on toilet door ‘not in use’.Not a Palmer’s driver but Red Rose, who did not know the tour areas he took us on,very shambolic. Given a side room in hotel.not the sea view we had asked for, this was in a busy road with traffic noise.Hotel full so could not change. We would not trust this company again.

Sadly we had the misfortune of one of their coaches parked outside our hotel room in Bury St Edmunds. Repeatedly the driver started the coach and left it idling for extended periods of time during the early hours of the morning. The first time at 7am for 20 minutes and we’re now 20 minutes in to the second session. There’s now one getting on the coach, and he’s not walked round the vehicle doing safety inspections, so there’s no justifiable reason for leaving a noisy polluting vehicle idling. Leaving vehicles idling for extended time is in contravention of the Highway Code, not to mention unreasonable behaviour towards hotel guests and harmful to the planet. What other laws of the Highway Code does this coach company ignore? Not a company I would use given the attitude of their drivers.

Very disappointed weekend away with this company. Pies and spies weekend - was supposed to go to Melton Mowbray to see how pork pies are made. This demonstration was cancelled at the last minute and we were just left there for 4 hours with nothing to do! Visit to Bletchley park the next day was supposed to include a guided tour but when we got there we found that we had to book our own tour. Overall not as advertised. I wrote to the company about my experience and they couldn't be bothered to reply. Avoid at all costs.

Channel Islands medley 31 st July -9 th August This trip is not what was advertised 1 It was not a luxury coach as advertised the best point was the driver who was excellent 2 The hotel in Bournemouth was dirty and v poor 3 There was little organisation for the ferries especially at Poole where they wanted us to wait in the coach until the very end so all the seats on board had been taken 4 The bus in Guernsey was very poor and could in no way be classed as luxury ,mini buses would be best suited 5 The Peninsula hotel in Guernsey was excellent and the best part of the holiday 6 The bus in Jersey was so old even the driver wasn’t sure it would get up some hills again mini buses would be better .The tour guide gave a very poor attempt at describing the highlights of Jersey only staying 15 minutes in the hotel and only appeared again at the ferry terminal to make sure we had gone ! 7 The Monterey was a reasonable hotel although we had to carry our suitcases 8 Palmers organisation leaves a lot of room for improvement their only saving grace was the Driver taking us to and from Poole from Stanley coaches 9 This although an enjoyable holiday was spoilt by Palmers organisation and poor coaches

Sprowston Manor Hotel now a Brittania Hotel and in true Brittania style the hotel is going down hill. The food was awful, slow service poorly cooked food, the staff however were more than happy to look after your needs and lovely. Palmer Holidays were well known for using nice hotels, but sadly using some hotels with bad reputation still charging more than most coach companies isn't going to do them any good. Sadly also not using their comfy coaches doesn't help with the travel comfort. bad news Palmers no porterage at the hotel as promised probably down to Covid along with all other get out excuses.

I find it very misleading we were advised by some friends who have on nemerous occasions used Palmer coach holidays as their coaches (as shown in their brochure) are top quality with lots of leg room etc only to find a Stanley coach turns up to take us on our trip to North Wales a couple of weeks ago. Our friends have now just gone on a trip to Cambridge and you've guessed it anothe Stanley Coach I think they need to amend their very misleading brochure. No doubt they will have some answer as to why a Stanley coach was used in place of there own coach or is it a case they no longer have any of their own coaches.
