Very disappointing from the off. Ibarruves and for whatever reason, my app has signed me out. I requested a password reset and let the young lady on the counter know ans that I required access. Honestly, she was condescending, useless and made it clear i had disturbed her from her inane chat with the staff member sat next to her. Eyes rolling because she had to get a form that she needed to complete. She then went through emails to look for my password reset request. It wasn't there, and shrewd told me to check when I got home, I said that I would, even though I had reception and was receiving other emails. I advised her that I needed access and would I have access to the gym. Another eye roll and i was given the code. Very rude, and was more interested in chatting ti her colleague than help in a professional manner. The gym was like after school club also. If you want a palatable experience, go anywhere but here.

Parking is an issue during peak times. New car park already falling short and you can't help but bring dirt into the venue.

The health suite has a strong smell of drains. It’s also quite easy for non members to access as you can walk straight though most days without needing a fob.

Been coming here for a couple of years now. It’s a great setup and has absolutely everything you need with regards to health and well being. That said, what really makes this place shine isn’t the facilities, it’s the great bunch of staff who run the place!! They work tirelessly to pull it all together whether it being front of house to help with my random queries or just to say a pleasant hello or goodbye in passing, the PTs who run RIG; Robert, Jack, Joe, Ben (sorry if I missed anyone else out), and the various other sessions from spin to boxercise. My daughter all attends swimming lessons here too… special thanks to Dan for being a great teacher and so good (and patient!) with Charlotte in her growth and development. Thanks to Scott for always being so accommodating with our families busy timetable and helping us find suitable dates and times. Keep up the good work guys, a very well done to you all!

Pathetic customer service. I was unable to attend the gym due to some family emergency rushed out of the country for a few weeks. On my return I found my locker was broken and took my stuff away by the member of the staff. I have inquired about it and the responsible in charge didn't able to response on a correct manner and not bother to look my missing stuff either , replied it's been thrown away. Next day reported to the another member of the staff and she managed to find the missing item. The staff should be trained better.

Really enjoyed my first lane swim since last summer. Also very pleased I was able to book in so easily, with lots of availability, I've given up trying to get in to New Mills, thankyou.

Small gym with limited equipment. Opening hours are average. Overpriced for what it is. Pretty boring gym in general. Cleanliness is okay. Staff okay. Parking can be bad. Good aspects are that the changing rooms are nice and there are some large windows in the gym which creat a nice vibe. Better options in the area such as x train and my gym to name a few. Theres loads of gyms/pt studios in hazel grove. LifeLeisure doesn't offer much.

Overall a good gym, clean, no issues with parking, the staff are nice and has a good booking system that was developed during the pandemic. The downside is that the gym is a bit small leaving a limited space for equipment. Most of the treadmills tv systems don’t really work. In general good value for money and they do give NHS discount.

I've only been to life leisure at Hazel Grove for swimming lessons (2 to be exact) but I'm already having a great experience. I initially emailed to enquire about lessons and joined a waiting list, I only had to wait 2 days and was able to register for lessons starting a few days later. I've had a really poor experience in the past with swimming lessons and quit after 1 lesson, so I was really anxious about starting again. Staff on reception were really friendly and reassuring whilst directing me where to go. I've been given a small barcode key card to scan at the barriers. Changing rooms were clean, there are lockers that take a Β£1 coin (returned at the end) or a token. Our lessons are being taught by Kev who I already feel at ease around. Such a huge contrast to my previous experience. Kev is in the water with you, he adapts what he's teaching for your level, he's been reassuring especially for anyone lacking confidence or who is afraid of the water. We were give pool noodles and a float and just practiced blowing bubbles and moving on my first week. Kev also explains the movement and demonstrates which is so helpful. Class size is really small, I've only been twice so far but there haven't been more than 4 people yet. Really recommend coming here if you're considering learning. I'm looking forward to continuing lessons.
