Great place for a walk or cycle ride away from the road, newly built gates negate kids on motorbikes and quads so a lot safer then a few years ago. You can also access edlo woods from numerous points around the walk and you never know, you may see some lovely wildlife too!

One of the best places to go for a family walk in the whole of Doncaster. Not sure actually how big the place is as we always do a different route each time but they can be as short or as long as you want. Never really busy can often go for a while without seeing anyone. Most paths are buggy / wheelchair friendly obviously some off beat tracks aren’t. Would highly recommend and great to be in fresh air and in the woods.

Very nice walk. Plenty of paths leading in different direction to explore. Bin and seats around the paths. Some routes are not stable ground. Decent views too at the top looking over fields and Parts of Doncaster. Plenty of blackberry bushes. You could quite easily fill a bucket. Just be aware of offroad motorbikes in the local area.

Great place for spotting wildlife & walking dogs, or having a peaceful walk out. just wish a dog walker ( who uses this place daily), would keep her multiple dogs on leads, she has been asked lots of times to do this and chooses to ignore the request, they chase and have bitten horses while they are being ridden and other people with dogs, which spoils the walk for everyone. I wouldn't be happy if you were walking my dogs in that manner. Other than that the other peeps we run into are nice, clean up after there dogs and are responsible pet owners. If shes reading this you know who you are PUT YOUR DOGS ON A BLOODY LEAD.

Good paths for walkers and dogs to the top of the former stack and around a pond, not really suitable for wheelchair users in winter months as most paths can be seasonably muddy or after rain. Car park. Some seating near the pond. No toilets. The walk can be extended into Edlington woods where there are interesting rock formations. Also public footpaths lead under the M18 and towards the village of Wadworth through Wadworth woods with views across the flat plain towards Tickhill.

My back yard! I love it here! Great for walking the dogs, jogging or cycling. What used to be slack heaps is now a beautiful natural area.
