Poor, just poor. Arrived after booking for bowling. Paid online only to be told the system was down. Needless to say we had to pay a 2nd time so we didnt disappoint the family. They said system was down ........ their systems are always down This happens all the time Staff unhelpful no apologies Will not visit again
Clean, Spacious, Modern. I have used the pools, gym and thermal suit. The gym could be bigger but quite adequate. All the staff I have interacted with have been absolutely lovely.
Probably the best Sports centre in Tameside. The swimming pool and changing facilities are modern with plenty of options for Families. The bowling is great, the soft play area is a little small but good for 2-5 year olds. The seating / lounge area is really nice and spacious with books to interest you if the TV doesn’t.
Only discovered this pool recently. The facilities are first class. Hygiene a bye word and the comfort and safety of the public a priority. I m not a strong swimmer and panicked once in the deep end. Lorraine was straight there checking I was ok. Good to know the life guards are so vigilant especially with children and those with special needs enjoying a swim. Alison was supervising the changing and locker areas helping visitors to make best use of the facilities . The staff are cheerful and so helpful. Well done to all concerned. You are an asset to the community.
First time here ! I was on photo shoot ! Reception when you walk in very friendly and shown me where event was ! The building is truly amazing. Amazing swimming pool the facilities must be amazing ! A lot of people have told me is fantastic! The rooms they have to rent out are amazing! They do have an open roof top as well ! Try it for your self enjoy the pictures!
Awful hygiene in all the key areas. The Men changing rooms are disgusting. Don't you dare to walk barefeet or you will have to get another shower when you get home. There are no staff enough for proper cleaning. You can find all the time emptied shampoo bottles everywhere, papers, underwear, etc. There are two hair dryers in the men changing room. One doesn't even heat and both have the safety mesh loose. There are 26 lockers inside but always an average of 5 male users in the gym, which means that the keys of the lockers are missed. People have to use the outside lockers in the corridor areas or the pool areas which is very inconvenient. Regarding the "spa" area; the sauna is always full of water on the floor, the shower dirty and the external area of the spa room is full of water. I have to always ask to someone from the pool area to come to the spa and get the water away. The worse of all is the smell. They (the management) do not understand that the people that go to the sauna and steam room perspires and smells. So, this area needs to be clean daily and many times a day. It smells like someones peed. I asked the staff about these issues and I always have the same answers "I will send someone" or "this is not my job". Zero customer service orientated. And then, we (the customers) are all the time chatting in the sauna or changing room about how bad the building management is. Finally, the security access is extremely weak. You can get in the building, the lifts, straight to the changing room areas without impediment, and the gym or spa with just knocking the door. Someone will open them for you. So, think before join and pay the membership.
It's a really nice place to visit. The gym is well equipped and there is always someone on hand to help with any questions. Car park can get a bit tight at peak times but the fact the gym has 24 hour access means you can always get a session in. I haven't used any of the other facilties at the venue but it's always busy.
I went in 2 week ago to book bowling (2 lanes together) for my little boys 3rd birthday. When i got there they was 1 lad on his own serving both food and bowling. I waited about 20 mins to tell them I had arrived for bowling nobody apologised. We went to our bowling lanes sat there for ages for them to tell us we had to move with no explanation. We was then put on 2 lanes back to back with each other. I think there is staffing issues and organisation is shocking .
Great bowling fun. Much better than Hollywood bowl. £25 for a lane for an hour. Up to 6 can play and loads of different types of bowling games
Great place ...you can just go in for a coffee and a read. Car parking is free just hand in your ticket to get a refund. Watch the bowling. Go on the roof and have a rest in the garden.
