   Absolutely brilliant gym, pool and especially the staff but… a massive but… the showers in the male changing room are dire. I could accept luke warm but BALTIC is not what I need after workout. Come on Oldham, sort it out!

   The staff at the centre are really friendly, however there are a few issues. The swimming pool has significant ‘sediment’ at the bottom, which could be cleaned. For some reason a ‘bus stand’ has been created (although no bus service visits the car park) and about 8-10 parking slots have been lost. Not sure why this has to be a 24/7-365 days a year parking total restriction.

   I take my 5 yr old for swimming lessons at Saddleworth Pool and Leisure Centre. After a recent session she was in the shower, apparently alone, though I was watching from the shower entrance. Her instructor in the 'orange hat' group noticed from the pool side and, being unable to see me, gently enquired if the child was alone, alright etc. I showed that I was with her and the instructor was apologetic at having interfered! I was so impressed by her professional sense of responsibility which obviously extended beyond her swimming lesson and to the well-being of any child in the pool environment. Very well done and thank you.

   Kids swimming lessons are here. The swim teachers are great with the kids, especially my reluctant and sometimes stubborn son! Have also made use of the 5 a side facilities which are also great. I believe the gym is good value for money too and classes always seem packed.
