Lovely old Victorian pool, well worth a visit. Reasonable price for a swim, free parking by the building.

Such a gorgeous pool in a unique stunning building! I’ve swum all over the world and nothing compares to being back at Glossop Swimming Baths, with the light shining through those arched windows on the water. Learnt to swim here when I was six months old, did swim club, lifesaving, and now lane swimming and classes. Wonderful setting in the beautiful peaceful park! Friendly, helpful staff. Relaxed atmosphere. Clean, fun, and caters for all the community.

Great facility. Clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The building is a beautiful Victorian structure. You do have to create an account and book on line. Morning sessions are busy, so get on line early!

Lovely staff and a lovely pool. They have a few bits for sale and some vending machines. The parking is always good. The baby classes are great! An asset to Glossop.

If you are considering sending your child to swimming lessons here I'd investigate other options first. I've sat on the side watching twice now as my child is crying, waiting for the instructor to notice, before going to them myself. I don't have confidence in the instructors' ability to spot a child in difficulty. They're not in the pool with them, and their attitude is laissez faire at best. If you must book lessons here, lower your expectations. Think of it more as a water confidence, character and courage building session. It's the school of sink or swim.

What a disappointment! This was my local swimming pool growing up and it was great. Fast forward 30 years and what a sad disappointment. Very little has changed and facilities are poor. It is an old fashioned pool no longer suitable for the local population. The local council need to think about meeting the needs of the growing population. We arrived early on a Sunday morning for family swim. The changing rooms were grubby and the pool had bobbles and plasters floating and more bits on the pool floor. We had booked a family swim and had a toddler with us. The shallow end was being used for lessons and as we had a toddler we couldn't go past a certain point so actually had less than a 3rd of the pool to use. There was also more lessons in the main part of the pool and people trying to swim. Staff could benefit from attending a customer service course as they were quit unhelpful.

Had an awful experience resulting in a very upset toddler. The timetable online said family swim only. But when we arrived there were swimming lessons in the shallow end and they even overflowed into the "main" part of the pool, doing lanes on the other side of the roped off area. So taking a two year old for his first swim ever in a place with no easy access to the pool (no steps/ramp) and no where for them to stand or feel confident was an awful experience. Not to sound too dramatic but it's experiences like that for toddlers that put them off swimming/water forever. If you have toddlers, go elsewhere. Do not go here! It's just not worth the risk considering the vast options in the 5 mile radius.
