My go to shop for essentials. I'm up early everyday and budgens opens at 6am even on a Sunday. The staff are top class helpful and friendly would recommend.

Bought some strawberries from here and don’t realise that they had fungus on them until I went to put the shopping in my car. Went straight back. Cashier told me to check properly next time before I buy. Very rude and abrupt answer. I was shopping with a young child and just picked up the punnet and looked at the top quickly. They should be checking the fresh produce regularly for any items that are not up to a sellable standard. That experience has put me off shopping here. There was no apology just a blunt answer. In other stores they just swap it over, putting the rotten product into the waste area. This lady wasted my time with refunding the item then reselling it. Ive worked in retail so I know now it’s done. The prices are a lot higher than other stores. In an emergency it’s worth it but for everyday shopping is too costly.

I paid for a 50g of amber leaf and was given a 30g instead. When I returned and politely explained the situation I was accused of switching them outside. I’m a father that was coming home from work and was berated by an employee in front of a whole store. I was happy for them to refund me the 50g and I would pay for the 30g in my possession. Makes me wonder whether theres something dodgy going on there. Really upset and outraged by the experience.

Friendly staff - they all know me well! Good stock but the fruit and veg can be a bit ropy at times. Always pick up some cracking reduced items at the right time of day. I live by myself so don't do a big shop, only go for nibbles bargains and milk.

Apart from location, there's basically nothing redeeming about this place. Generally expensive, have definitely had some dodgy food from here (a shepherds pie about 5 Christmases ago has rendered me unable to have one since after the overnight repercussions of that ready meal). Ignoring their posted opening hours and closing early without warning is extremely common (although playing devils advocate, it is so common that that is basically your warning). Yesterday was a new one, my girlfriend buys cigarettes frequently from there and always gets ID'd (annoying when youre served by the same person at least twice every single week but whatever) but this day, my girlfriend went up to the counter, and the staff member predicted without her asking "sterling green superkings?" (Her usual) before then still insisting on ID.......despite knowing her so well they remembered which cigarettes she gets....... Basically only go here if you can't be arsed to walk up the hill to Tesco's

Ruislip Manor Budgens's staff are always polite n helpful. Obviously a bit more expensive than larger supermarkets but 99% of the time, they have what you need.

Nice shop, good staff. Good range of produce. The fruit and veg can look a little old and tired. Good range of beer and wine.ahop should close at 10pm but often closes earlier
